#7. The greatest game I ever watched...

Game 6 in 2004 second round Red Wings vs Flames. My brother and I were at the game, scoreless and went in 2 OT and Martin Gelinas scored the winner. Worst memory would be game 6 in 2004 SCF, we all know what happened.

There was also a good video on the Flames site where Sutter's son took one of the Flames reporter out for a tour of the farm. On another note how do you think Monohan will work out with the Habs? I wish him all the best in Montreal.

#20. My brush with hockey greatness. (any story of a player or hockey personality you may have met personally. It’s a bit long…..but I was playing against the Flyers Alumni in a charity game. I bet a couple guys in my office a hundred bucks I’d drop the gloves w Dave Shultz. Well, everyone wanted a piece of that action, so if I didn’t, I was stuck for $1300! At the end of the second period, I lightly (a tap) cross checked him in the back. He turned to see me shaking the gloves. In an instant, he had my helmet off, the jersey over my head and was giving me noogies….and I boxed in Golden Gloves as a kid. He was so fast, it was incredible. When I got my jersey back over my head, the Alumni (and everyone else were laughing like crazy. He said “You’re either the dumbest MF’er on the planet, or the smartest. What did you do that for?” I told him about the bet. He asked what I’m going to do with the all the money I won. I told him, “what else, give it to the charity”. He said “you’re a good man”. After the laughs with them, I’ve gotten to play in 4-5 charity golf tournaments with those guys. Most notably, Bernie Parent, Kimmy and Joe Watson, Bob “the Hound” Kelly, and a few others. In a day where athletes a aloof and condescending, the hockey guys are the most engaging and genuinely nice people you’ll ever meet!

#25. How would you decide tie hockey games? Shootout, Overtime, or just allow ties... playoffs are awesome! The regular season shootouts suck!!!

#1. The first NHL season I remember was...
Probably 86-87

#2. My earliest hockey memory is .....
Watching Philadelphia Flyers vs Montreal Canadiens with my uncle.

#3. My favorite team growing up was...
Nordiques de Québec

#4. The first NHL jersey I ever had was...
Pittsburgh Penguins #66 or a Chicago Blackhawks jersey (both were quite at the same time when I was very young, since my parents really liked Hawks jersey, but prefered our beloved Lemieux)

#5. The happiest a hockey game ever left me...
Ouf ! Hard one. Every win are great, but wasn't a Montreal Canadiens fan when they won in 1993. I'll go with the Montreal Canadiens playoffs run when they beat Pitts and Wash. So, 7th game vs Pitts 2009-2010.

#6. The saddest a hockey game ever left me...
That last Quebec Nordiques game where Kovalev faked a high stick vs Sakic. Sakic scored, goal has been reversed, and this was the last game of Quebec Nordiques in history.

#7. The greatest game I ever watched...
Wow. Euh... so many. "greatest game" has to be defined : Stressful ? Amazing plays by both teams ? Only the greatest of our beloved one vs the hated one ? The most iconic one ?

I can't answer that.

#8. My favorite player as a kid....
Rick Tocchet and Theo Fleury. Can't decide.

#9. My favorite player currently playing...
I don't have one "clear" favorite. As we speak I feel a lot for Drouin, and being an empath I'm rooting quite a lot for him. Gally also. But, as skilled and being thrilled watching him at the very moment, I'd go with Caufield.

#10. The Hockey Position I played...
Competition wise : Goalie. If not competition wise : every position.

#11. The number I wore when I played hockey, and why.....
The numbers reserved for a goalie... Meh. So the numbers available for a goalie : "1, 30, 31 or 33". However, when I had the choice also picked #92. Simply because nobody wore it before as I could remember back then. Nowadays, pretty used.

#12. The highest level of hockey I played...
Midget as competitive.
Garage beer league.

#13. The team I hate the most...
Duh ! Totonto

#14. The team I never admit I like, but i secretly do...
I assume myself, so nothing I would never admit. I don't dislike any other teams than the Leafs that much.

#15. The player I hated the most..
I think it would be Claude Lemieux, or Darcy Tucker...

#16. The best player I ever saw play live or on TV.,,,
I'd go with McDavid, Lemieux or Datsyuk. Can't pick one.

#17. The player alive or dead I would most like to meet...
Whoa. A lot of players seem pretty genuine, funny and with lot of stories. I'd go with M-A Fleury for that funny/stories matter.

#18. The rule I would most like to change....
Trapezoid. Any rule that is to restrain player abilities is non sense.

#19. My favorite hockey-related video or board game...
NES Ice Hockey or SNES NHL 93

#20. My brush with hockey greatness. (any story of a player or hockey personality you may have met personally.

I went to a Philly vs Mtl in the 89-90 or 90-91 . I'd say at old Forum in Mtl. I was dressed entirely in LA Kings (hockey cap, coat, joggings, etc.). Was 10 or 11 back then. My uncle knew where the players were coming out from the Forum. Rick Tocchet saw me, went over and looked at me : "Gretzky, eh ?". I answered : 'Nope ! Robitaille". He chatted, asked if I minded if his friends Poulin and Mellanby could join for the picture. That was such a great moment.

I really grasped the meaning of that smirked he had when he asked "Gretzky, eh ?" to me, when that gambling came out héhé.

#21. The NHL player who grew up closest to where you grew up... Don't know, was living in a pretty small village. Some friend played AHL (Jean-Michel Daoust), or been drafted back then (Martin Moise - were playing hockey street with him), but that's it. No NHLer known.

#22. Your favorite hockey writer....
Don't really have any. I like a lot of them.

#23. NHL Arenas you have been to....
Mtl Forum, Bell Centre. That's pretty much about it. Never had the chance to really do sport trip. Somewhere on my bucket list.

#24. Do you miss the two-line pass? Are you old enough to remember the two-line pass? No way I miss them. Yup. Remember them a lot.

#25. How would you decide tie hockey games? Shootout, Overtime, or just allow ties...

I don't care that much for regular game. 3 vs 3 for 5 minutesis ok. But you could go 3 v 3 until they score IMO. If playoffs : the way it is.
