Everyone has balls when they comment online about this and that. In that regard Kevin has as much balls as you do. It’s just that there are certain flavored balls you seek out. Maybe it’s the texture, maybe the flavor, can’t say for certain. But you have an absolute attraction to said balls. And you’ll do anything. Say anything. To get a taste of said balls.

What I'm about to say is based on absolutely no solid knowledge; it's just speculation. But could it be that Ovechkin fears for his life if he takes a public stand against Putin? Since the war started, we've seen multiple influential Russian figures who had some contact with Putin meet untimely ends after expressing some "reservations" with what Russia is doing. And as important as it is to oppose the evil going on in Ukraine, would we expect Ovechkin to put his life at risk to take such a stand? Honestly, I'm not sure.

If only Ovechkin had said he's opposed to the war, I'm sure the Russian troops would have packed up and headed back home.

For one, I'm sure plenty of these Russian players are not opposed to the invasion. Secondly, unless they are willing to not return to Russia and their families are safe, it would be very risky for them to publicly condemn Putin.
