Flyers buyout Lindblom and then sign literally one of the worst players in the entire league to a 4 year 2.5MAAV deal because he fight. Can you say stuck in the stone age?

I understand why Montreal and New Jersey passed on Wright, but Arizona? Did they just think Cooley is a better C than Wright?

Many people think Cooley is more offensively talented. Wright more two-way.

Why does Vegas deserve a draft pick for Pacioretty? They mismanaged their cap. They could have forked over draft picks and sweeteners to dump another contract, but instead found a team that would take Pacioretty without much of a price. Meanwhile, Carolina has wisely managed their cap and used the cap room from Trochek leaving to add Pacioretty. Zero return and basically zero sweetener is actually fair value.

Correct. Have to understand that cap space is as much of an asset as a player or draft pick is.

1.75m for Deslauriers. 4yr/7mil. But who’s counting

The best part will be having his services until he is 35. But let’s be honest. A waiver is in his future before long.

And yeah, archaic AF. it’s regressing, really, because despite their reputation, the Flyers haven’t been that kind of team in so long. then you go out and get a guy like this. Why?

The Sharks got back slightly more than Vegas in their trade. This is underwhelming to add to your dead cap space, and only get back a 4th strnig goalie , a Bottom 6 forward and a conditional 3rd?

The Sens didn’t have to persuade CC - he’s such a competitor with a burning desire to win so it was a no brainer 🤣

More good moves in the span of a week than the HOF legend Lou Lameoriello has made in 5 offseasons on Long Island. Not bad

I got to say I was actually impressed by Ottawa. I can't remember the last time they made any sort of free agent/trade headline. Like in a good way lol. But good for them. Team will be a b**** to play against. I hate you in advance.

Apparently there's another big Kent move in the works, if it's bringing in Dubois better tread lightly. Not giving up major assets for a guy we can sign for nothing in 2 years.

Have to imagine matthews would not fancy a guy who rag dolls him in his division...there's a clear strength advantage here for the much smaller PLD. Man strength.
