Who will the Devils draft? Most likely either Wright or Slafkovsky, unless they trade down. Cant wait for all of the noise to be just that, noise. Canadian media is the worst. |

I’m gonna swing for the fences.
2OA for M. Tkachuk
Zacha and a 2nd round pick for Nylander.

Let's do it! There's been some Tkachuk smoke out there this morning too. Doubt anything happens but it'd be fun for sure. I think if Wright is available at 2 it would make our pick a little more valuable and more likely to be traded with Slaf being gone. |

That would make me happy and utterly change this roster for the better, providing we can extend MT

I am currently linking the 2OA to the Bruins for David Pastrnak because personally I'd like to see him be a Devil. |

I always loved Teddy. He had an engine that never quit. His tiny body would get wrecked but he hopped back up and finished his shift. |

I assume all these TSN guys just talk about what they want to spew out there because now Bob McKenzie has said theres considerable talk about NJ moving the #2 pick. |

I would make that trade
Too bad the asking price is much much higher |

Both Friedman and Andy Strickland poured water on the Tkachuk rumors, saying he wont be moved today.
Emily Kaplan from ESPN says: "One of the teams I expect to be active today is the New Jersey Devils. I’ve been told they have a lot of wheels in motion, including potentially acquiring a goalie.
I also believe there is a good chance the Chicago Blackhawks trade Alex DeBrincat today." |

TSN started early but now ESPN is picking it up. Will be interesting to see which network wins the bullpoop award of this year's draft. |

Looks at CNN, Fox, NBC, CBS, ABC, ESPN…
Yeah it’s just so bad in Canada compared to the US. |

Hard to tell what Chicago is going to do since they are so poorly managed. Are they buyers or sellers? nobody can really tell because they also don't know. |

Well they fired the whole management team, hired new people including a coach and are talking about trading off young players for pics. What the f*** do you think that means they are doing? |

Its not that crazy if you think about it.
When Kane and Toews are gone, trade or FA, they will be doing a full on rebuild. Paying Deb 9+ would make no sense during a rebuild. Get all the assets they can, hope to land Bedard next draft and build around him.
I thought they can get more that 3 picks, but guess not.
Question is, what do they do with Jones and his 9.5? Will he want to stick around for a rebuild? Do we go for him, with Chi retaining 2 mil per season? They will be able to afford that for quite some time, meeting cap floor and all that. |

but essentially 7th overall for Debrincat is bad. You're not replacing his talent even in the aggregate with all of the draft picks over time. Just seems like they are just going to cast off all of their assets then start over or something, I don't really see it. They aren't even going to be so horrible next year to compete for 1st overall. |

When you sign an RFA to a big offersheet, do the 1st round picks a team has to pay come in consecutive years or if a team has multiple firsts in one year, can they give those?
Im just wondering diff scenarios on what they could do. |
