I could see some trade rumblings starting, but no one is allowed to have a single conversation about UFA’s or Rfa’s. So anything you’re putting out at this point is completely made up bs.

why would colorado be interested in Laine when they are now in the stanley cup finals? isn't this the last thing they have on their mind?
if your wife is going to delivery a child in a week, are you planning for the next child? the logic here is non-existent - Eklblad
Yes.
The GM should be looking at next season's team several months ago at minimum. The entire rest of the league is done playing and finishing up prep work for the offseason. You can't just sit there and go "Nah, not us, we're still playing." or you'll be way behind the pack.

I'm just not sure NJ will have room for Gaudreau after we get Nylander, Debrincat, Fiala, Pasta, Goal Caufield and all the other players we've been linked to.
What about Ryan Smith? You mentioned him in the title? Of course you also keep referring to the 2016 rumour chart.
Once again, back to the Gaudreau is from New Jersey stuff. Just like Taylor Hall was an E4+ to sign in Calgary because that's where he was born. Has this rationale ever worked once? John Tavares. OK. Anyone else?
No analysis of Colorado-Tampa. You mentioned the other day that you would be back with your predictions. Guess not. But I'm sure the pick would have been Tampa, because Kuemper is the weak link. The moment when Kuemper is handed the Cup will be pretty special. Joe Salic was supposedly looking to acquire MAF, Gibson, Khudobin, Holtby, Korpisalo, Varlamov, Lundqvist, Dubnyk, Brian Elliott...anyone but Kuemper.

Also Mike Liut, Dominik Hasek, Frank Pietrangelo, Jim "net Detective" Carey, Andre Racicot were all gonna come out of retirement for the Avs to acquire.
The Devils and Kraken are both more than willing to offer up fair deals, and the Leafs are more than frustrated with his lack of consistency….for the first time I have Nylander’s chances of leaving Toronto greater than his chances of staying…
I thought you had him traded to Colorado for Barrie about 3 different times over two deadlines.
"the Leafs are more than frustrated with his lack of consistency….for the first time I have Nylander’s chances of leaving Toronto greater than his chances of staying…"
Based on what exactly? If it isn't Dubas or Shanahan not sure it's worth printing. And the minute he leaves, where do the 34G / 80 pts for $6.9M that is subtracted come from? And who weighs a few abandoned trips to the corner against that production? He's also the only one who has produced in every single 1st round exit.
Not saying he will or won't be back, just questioning both the source of this segment, and would it be the best things for the Leafs. I'll go with "maybe, maybe not" for the latter, and "haven't a clue" for the former.
