Not taking anything away from Tampa they are the champs until they are beaten but to me this has more to do with the rangers than Tampa. Need to get back to the speed game and be more physical!. Can’t let Tampa run shesty and bully him in the crease easy to see that’s their game plan.Just get back to moving through the neutral zone with speed and shoot from everywhere! Best two out of three now and I can’t see Tampa winning two at the garden LGR!

Rangers played a pretty good defensive game. Still too many turnovers in the neutral zone. Stop the neutral zone stretch pass. Offense needs a big game at msg. Tampa is beatable but the rangers need to get healthy

They've played more hockey than anyone in the post season. So being healthy is a pipe-dream at this point. But yeah...too much reliance on that stretch play and not enough gaining the zone the hard way.

Tampa is too good at clogging the neutral zone for that to work. They need to carry it in. They had 2 or 3 cycles last night that looked good. Tampa is too good at home, need to adjust.
At least we didn't give up 50 SOG again.

Team is running out of gas and the injury bug is hitting at the absolute worst time. They will really need to dig deep as Tampa smells blood in the water. If Chytil & Strome are out of the line up I do not like our chances even at home.

I’m going to assume Strome and Chytil will be out for game 5. I’d go with

Kreider Zib Vatrano
Panarin Copp Gauthier
Laf Goodrow Kakko
Reaves Rooney Brodzinski (although I’m sure it will be Hunt)

IF they wanted to, and I doubt they would, but could they call up Othman here?

Discora is right. The team looked tired and slow. They were not quick to the puck on the boards and were not quick to get the puck out of the zone. Aside from the Kucherov breakaway, this led to the goals.
Hopefully, the Rangers can draw from home crowd to find their spark. Otherwise it will be tougher to pull the rest of this series out.

Tampa did Tampa. They got the lead and clogged things up. Good on them. They obviously know how to win when it matters.

They definitely need fresh legs in the lineup. The 4th line isn’t doing much. Reaves cannot play in these games any longer

Even Copp looked to get banged up on the Kreider minor

When Copp isn’t scoring he’s somewhat invisible. Looks slow so maybe he’s hurt

Rangers are the only team I've seen that look like they get jet-lag from flying south. They looked the same for both the Carolina and Tampa Bay away games.

I think it is also good to remember for us fans that, aside from Goodrow, none of the team has experience playing this much and this far into the playoffs.
That matters when knowing what to do and how to do win when your a just beat up from the grind.

I don't know if I can go that far. I know we're all disappointed that they didn't show up with their A game. But, at the same time that we are female doging about no one giving any respect to the Rangers, we aren't giving any to Tampa. They played a real good game and we have seen first hand how a team driving the action can result in their opponent not getting any traction to push back.
You don't have to look too hard in these playoffs to find examples of home ice advantage really helping in-game and in-series.

Tampa adjusted defensively. Didn’t need to do much offensively since they just countered the rangers mistakes and ability to get into the Tampa zone

They lost their legs over the past few days. One thing I will say, the line of Panarin, Zip and Laf was pretty epic for a while. Generated the most chances at the end of the second and were flying. I kinda want to see that again and this for Thursday. (Assuming Blais can actually play).

Panarin Zip Laf
Kreider Copp Kakko
Blais Goodrow Vatrano
Reaves Rooney Brodzinski

If Drury realized this team would be on this kind of run I guarantee he would have found an upgrade over Braun. He’s only slightly better than Nemeth. Wish Jones would have gotten a shot earlier as it’s probably a little too late to make a change like that now.

Can’t get beat on a nothing play like that in the the conference finals. Took the wind right out of their sails and gave Tampa and the crowd too much energy early.

Agreed. The 6th D spot can’t be such a liability. I’d be curious if Jones gets a chance as I expect Schneider to a take a big step forward and could potentially be like Lindgren is to Fox.

That and need 1 or 2 more Goodrows

This season still very much alive though. Very lucky to have 2/3 at home. Panarin continues to put up points despite playing like garbage 5v5. I’d love to see Gallant move him to the 4th line and PP only. Won’t happen but he’s just been that awful.
