Gardiner + Necas + Skjei and Ducks 6th for Zadina, Walman
Canes cut just over $8M,
you can sign Walman for $1M
Wings get a dependable LD (not Jake)
Both Necas and Zadina get fresh starts, and are a wash.
Wings can buy out or elect to bury $1M of Jake’s pay by sending him down.

liked him alot while he was here in Toronto, hopefully he can make it back and playing as a regular again if not it may be time to retire after his contract is up..

Probably trade him to the Flyers. We seem to like awful 3rd pair Dmen. Ex. Gustufsson and Yandle

Not sure there is any point in waiving him and sending him down, unless you feel you can get a better player to play on the 3rd pair for the ~$1 mil savings you get. Might as well just play him in the sheltered 3rd pair role.
