It’s really insane how when the rangers lose it’s not even competitive. They are just run out of the building.

They were one shot away from tying the game up until 7 minutes left, wtf are you taking about

My god this place.

Why can’t it just be that we lost to a better team on a given night for once

I agree TJ. You said it last blog also. Vatrano with the blocked shots. Carolina just had an answer for everything the Rangers were trying. Tip your hat to Carolina, come out and win at home and then try and break through in Game 7.

I mean it’s not just people on this blog, Gallant called out the team after the game for not being good enough. And he is the most positive person after loses usually lol

100% Carolina was the better team. But the rangers were never in control of this game once. The canes hit 3 posts. The rangers had 10 shots on goal heading into the 3rd.

The point is the rangers weren’t even competitive this game. If you can’t see that I don’t know what to tell you

I mean they did defy all odds and win a series down 3-1…they deserve a little mulligan once in awhile. They actually had a 2-1 lead if they can stay onside

Guys are struggling. But all players do. Svetchnikov just got his first goal in like two weeks ffs. If they lay an egg in game 6 I’ll be pissed, but I’m not there yet. Especially knowing the resilience we’ve seen really all season

Turn the page win game 6 and play a better game 7. I think they’ll do that

I thought gallant was fine. Probably should’ve switched the lines earlier. I just don’t understand how the top players didn’t even get shots on goal. Not even any attempts

I think Gallant definitely is trying to reach in and bring out even more from his players. It is what he needs to do as a coach and what the players need to hear.

They really are in a tough spot on the 4th line. The lineup is hindered when 4 lines are kind of in shambles. Not making excuses but rolling 4 quality lines is imperative vs the canes.

This is just Hyperbole, which you have become quite good at spouting off. Remember when all of our players were "small game players" last series. That one aged well for you.

Yes we all wanted more from the team last night...but if it were not competitive I would think we would have seen Shesterkin standing on his head for it to only have been 3-1.

No bag skates today. Work on the mental aspect.
Shift the lines back as we discussed. Restore the Kid Trio. Win at home, send it back to Carolina. Find a way to win Game 7, limit the stupid turnovers at the opposing blueline.

The score itself was competitive. The defense was good. It’s the rangers top 6 specifically not creating any offense. When watching that game you never once thought the rangers would win is my point.

The rangers top players didn’t show up until game 6 and 7 last series. They proved me wrong that they can step up but there just hasn’t been any consistency with them.

That being said this team finds ways to win somehow facing elimination.

He is def getting on my nerves too haha

Kreider Zib Wheels
Panarin Strome Copp
Laf Chytil Kakko
Motte Rooney Reaves

That’s the best lineup/chance to win imo. Don’t stray from it and just roll them. I get changing lines and all but sometimes you just need to trust the players will get it done and leave them be

Kakko on line 4 was a dumb decision by GG. It renders him useless for the whole game. Seems like he missed the open net and he doesn’t trust him anymore idk

These playoffs have been a roller coaster, the team play has been erratic but the constant has been how well Igor has played. It happens with a young team. As far as Im concern is how Panarin has been a no show. The playoffs are different animal and he hasnt shown anything up to this point. 5 v 5 is where we need him to produce. Maybe he unpacks his bag tomorrow??

All I’m saying is this team has played way to inconsistent. Specifically the top players being a no show a lot of the time. These are just facts. Brooks called out the same thing.

Kakko or Laf might be better suited on the top line than Vatrano imo

Panarin can turn it on at any point. From his regular season play into the post season he might be the most disappointing ranger. He just has very expectations every game

This is what youre doing….

You’re watching other series and comparing. You think Panarin should produce like McDavid…when no one else in the world can do that. Or Kane, who’s in Mcdavids side car atm. McKinnon is also on another planet, so let me compare him too. It’s unfair. Just because he makes copious amounts of money doesn’t necessarily mean he can produce like that. He is still setting up on a tee ridiculous passes for guys on the PP.

You wanna say they’re to PP dependent I’ll give you that, but the other stuff is just off base

If you think that one goal which was scored on the Power Play makes up for his lack of production for these 12 playoff games so far, so be it.

Its not his production, he has been invisible. Not even noticed besides the PP. He needs to step it up if we are going to get past the Canes!!

Edit And his turnovers have been atrocious!!

I agree with everything you're saying, TJ. But, I think where the frustration comes from is that we can all see it is going to take every ounce of effort and do or die attitude to get that win in Carolina and we only saw that competitive edge from about 4 guys last night.
I said before we lined up in this series that I consider this season is a success regardless of what happens, but it would be nice to know that even if they can't get it done, they left everything out on the ice. Last night didn't feel like it.

Definitely not comparing Panarin to mcdavid. He’s an alien. Panarin just looks off. Might be hurt. Aside from the game winner he just hasn’t been as crisp as the regular season.
