I hope Sutter decided to role Lucic at 20 plus minutes tonight. He's a franchise corner stone and should be treated as such.

Markstrom needs to be better and perhaps steal a game, but you don't win too many games scoring 3 or less. Not in the 2nd round.

As far as Tanev goes, him playing injured is one thing. Asking him to play on the PK as well is quite something else. Zaddy may be a step down from a healthy Tanev on the PK, but neither he nor Guddy lose Hyman on that battle.

Oilers showed so much class with the player. Toss him on the scrap heap, then trade him for Neal. Then toss Neal on the scrap heap. Koskinen got you into the playoffs when Smith was on vacation (again), but he's the next one on the heap. Sprinkle in a bit of Puljujarvi.

Is it just me or was Mike Smith on the "blue line goal" looking down ice and gesturing that something had affected his ability to make the save.

Word of advice Mike. When you let in a 150 foot shot the blame is on only one person.

Will Gaudreau take a good-bye lap after the Flames lose tonight?

Traded for Neal, how's that working out for you?

You got to give credit where credit is due, Edmonton's stars want it so bad and you see it in the other-wordly effort every shift. I like the Flames team under Sutter, but its not lost on me that this is the same team that played lethargic, apathetic hockey prior to Sutter getting here. The team has made tremendous strides. Im a big fan of Sutter but until Tkachuck and Gadreau can match the effort and intensity of McD and Leon, it would be foolish to expect a different result. Still, im a flames fan for life so ill "hope" for a better outcome tonight. To be clear its not just a few guys, but those few guys are inspiring their team and pushing them past the comfort zone in their effort and play. Flames are not getting that same leadership.

Being one win away from the western final, I’d say it’s working out quite well. Thanks for asking!

What? Do you understand decisions have to be made for cap reasons? No, let’s just keep everyone because they are nice guys.

That wasn’t my point. He is definitely not who I was referring to. My bad for the confusion.

You cheer for the Flames because it’s your team and you’re here for the journey. The highs, the lows, and everything in between.

Wise words Trevor.

Love how all the trolls have come out to play. Just like they did when they tanked for Hall, and then when they tanked for Nuge, and when they tanked for Yakapov, and when they really tanked for McMuffin, then when they traded Hall, etc.

What we are really witnessing is all that pent-up anger and aggression from being fans of such a piss-poor franchise. The few that were actual Oilers fans back in the '80s are long gone from these boards and what we are left with is a bunch of wankers (besides Wreckage, he is a good troll).

Anyways, not sure either team will make it past Colorado but we are now playing for bragging rights. Let's hope the boys can win one for Sutter.....and Whipper!!!!

I respectfully disagree. What your witnessing is karma for a lot of Flames fans being insufferable douche bags all season. You’re not really allowed to take the high and mighty road at this point.

Nice. Who was once a slightly above average troll in the land of weak ass trolls, you’re playing the innocent victim?

Unfortunately, one win away from the Western final is the best the Oilers will do in the Mcdavid era. It's going to be almost impossible to get a team this good again while he's in Edmonton.

The Flames are in a great position for at least a few more years if Gaudreau comes back. If he signs, they're probably better next year than they were this year. Plus, the Flames will actually make the Western Final this year.

Do you know what they're paying Nurse starting next year? Kane is gone, or the Oilers move useful pieces to keep Kane and he goes back to being the Kane that was a disaster for every other team he's been a part of. What's the plan in goal? Who's excited about Skinner and sees him as a Stanley Cup goalie? Three more years paying Neal. That helps.

Why are you asking me? I have no input.. you’re giving me to much credit… nobody has asked for my input. I’m talking about this year. I just hope the rich guys in Calgary can sack up so your team is still there for the next few years. You need a new arena.
