It is likely that Dubas will find a way to dispose of Mrazek’s deal with a number of teams looking for goaltending

Maybe the Oilers need a goalie.... Or 3?

I feel like the one of the words "good", "decent" or "better" needs to be inserted before goalie here.

The living dumpster known as the Arizona Tirefires are going to be taking a lot of dumps this year. Eriksson, Kessel, Roussel, Beagle, Stralman all gone. They need expensive poop to replace them but also have low salary and some poop.

They are so much better.
But he still sucks.

Campbells numbers for these playoffs: 3.15 gaa, .897 sv%.
This should help lower his salary request.

Hmm... good, decent and better are not words I would use to describe Mike Smith or Mikko Koskinen

Based on the goalie market I'd still resign him for 2 or 3 years at 3 million or less. He's done a good enough job to get an offer plus a raise. I'd prefer $5 million over 2 years. But that's likely a pipe dream.

Agreed.

They need good, decent or better goaltenders instead of these 2.

None give me more confidence to be a starter over Campbell except maybe Fleury and he's still kind of spotty. Vanacek is interesting but again, it's the same risk going into the season as it was with Campbell. Would I trade for him and have that as a tandem? Possibly depending on the cost.

Many of those guys are just too old for my liking.

I know Korpisalo gets a lot of talk but these were his numbers - 4.15 .877. They don't inspire confidence.

I was shocked that they didn't address goaltending at the deadline. I felt they needed to take a shot more than the leafs did at the deadline for a goalie. Koskinen for Riemer would have been interesting.

I’m happy to pay Campbell 1b $s or have him compete with someone but i think we’ve seen his playoff ceiling

Yeah I mean his 1.81 GAA and .934 is a pretty great ceiling

The dream scenario would be Husso and Vanacek for under 5m total

I am unsure if that's a dream scenario but if that's your preference with weighing the risks of it then sure.

I wonder if Varlamov would be an option.. I personally think Keumper stays in Colorado
