Normal pregame routine for Sid at least offers some cautious optimism.

The best offensive and defensive team in the 1st round?????? Louies playoff save % is better than Jarry"s and his W/L record also better. Louie is an easy scapegoat but he has done more then what anyone could have expected. Neither of these teams beat Carolina. This game all depends on Shesterkin. Play like he did in games 2-6 Pens win....Play like did in reg season and game 1 Rags win. Pens 4 to 3 their experience vs Rangers obvious nervous play works in Pens favor.

I don’t read the blogs, but did RW just blame a minor league goalie for not being a nhl caliber goalie?

This Ryan Wilson guy is total trash. Got to be the worst one sided, cry baby whiner writer of HB. Why don't you just move on Ryan and stop with trying to convince people that the Pens are so wonderful. Excuses, Excuses Go Rangers and shut this guy up.

Domingue outplayed Shesterkin in a couple games and although the winning goal looked like he should have stopped it the fact is the shot came through a screen of players and was tipped by Zibanejad right in front of the goalie. It was a tough save to make and he is getting trashed for it. So wrong considering he did an amazing job for a minor league goaltender in a high pace SC playoff game.

He hates pittsburgh most of the year. Playoff hockey just has him excited I guess. Been years since his sabres made the dance.

Not gonna argue that, lol Just saying Ryan Wilson is a tool. Look at the Flyers and that sad state of affairs but you never see Bill Meltzer write crap like Wilson does. Have a little class Ryan Wilson. Bill is an amazing blogger unlike your wimpy whining Wilson.

I knew when Sid skated the day after that hit he wasn't diagnosed with a concussion. Just being super cautious and giving it a couple days to see if he had any problems.

Sources: Sidney Crosby, game-time decision, was not diagnosed with a concussion.

There was some initial concern, with a headache after Game 5, that might be the case. He was tested, negative result. Nothing further developed and belief is he’s remained symptom-free since.

I don't get blaming the goalie he's played well. They're killing him for the GWG but there were 4 players in front him and he picked it up at the last second. Beat the Rangers and their fans.

Louis has come up with some big time saves to keep his team in it, but he has a .898%. That's not good enough for any team to win in the playoffs no matter how well they play in front of him.

As I said in the previous blog, it's hard to fault him personally. He's a 3rd string goalie. How much can you realistically expect from any 3rd string goalie? If goalies like him were consistently able to contribute average goaltending he wouldn't be a 3rd string goalie.

He’s been the worst goalie in the playoffs.
