Ben Shelley: Special teams a deciding factor in Hurricanes' Game 3 loss to Bruins

A local radio show was interviewing a Bruins fan coming out of the playoff game in Raleigh. He had gotten in a fight inside the arena with a Canes fan who was showing his backside.

He said he was exmilitary and a prison guard. He told folks around him you can say anything you want to me but just don't touch me.

This one apparently intoxicated fan didn't heed the warning and the Boston fan engaged and made short work of him. Security showed up to take him away and the other Canes fans around told Security to leave him alone and that the Canes fan started it.

Security let him stay. The Boston fan was saying he wouldn't have ever received that kind of accommodation as an opposing fan in Boston. He made friends with one of the fans who stood up for him.
