If you did a position by position comparison on paper, I'd give the Bruins the edge. But the team as a whole, I'd give the edge to the Canes.

Should be a very tight series. Probably a boring, and easy, take but it really should come down to goaltending. If Carolina gets decent goaltending I think they win.

This group with the Canes have not had a ton of playoff success so it is important for their confidence to score early.

Yeah it's interesting, i think the Canes overall have a deeper squad, but Bergeron, Marchand and Pasta are who they are.

Overall I think the teams mostly cancel eachother out and it's going to come down to goaltending.

Mostly agree. Although an intangible might be special teams. Canes have been good at locking down opponents. I see this being a clash of depth scoring as well as goaltending as you said. In depth scoring, i give the edge to the canes. (was also mentioned in the article)

Age/speed might play a big role too. I know its round 1, but having watched all the regular season games against the Canes this year, they beat boston with speed on both offense and getting back into the play and shutting down offense.

Going to be an entertaining series. I would enjoy 7 games.

It also comes down to the healthiest team.
Bruins Dmen tend to get knocked out in the first round.

Two periods in Raanta is up to the task.
