Again, I know there is a ton of pressure on Joe and the team to go "all in" but you can't sacrifice too much of the future. Traded Jost. More current roster players can be part of a trade I think. Girard, JT to name a couple . Don't do it Joe!

I think a deal I would be good with would be the 2023 1st rounder, Barron and one of Ranta or Oluasson.

I have a feeling that Giroux could resign in Colorado and not just be a rental as he could help fill some of the loss if Kadri walks in free agency next season.

Well I haven't even heard of Joe and the Kadri camp talking a new contract even once so I am assuming that Kadri goes to the highest bidder. Career year and prob his last kick at the can as far as free agency goes. To give up another good prospect in Baron and other pieces for another UFA is scary to me. Only way that works ( as you mentioned ) is for Him to sign a deal in Denver . Same with Manson. Helleson and Baron are the Avs 2 big D prospects . Would hate to see them both gone.

The top 4 defenders will be back, you have Byram. Maybe they resign Manson too.

If you want to go for it this is the year because Kadri will most likely be gone in offseason and west seems pretty open to get to the Cup finals.

Not an Avs fan but I agree the west is theirs to lose. Don’t know why anyone would care what prospects they lost if they won the cup. If they don’t win it these types of moves are going to sting but it’s tough to argue they’ll get better next year or that the west will continue to be a one team show. Taking that all in jump at the expense of your future is very much a part of most cup winning teams in the cap era. I mean unless you have no confidence in this team against the East(because honestly I’d be shocked if they lost the west) why not take that jump into the abyss.
