Bill, two questions if you have the time.
1- if you had to guess, where does G go and what’s the return?
2- has anyone in the organization questioned you regarding something you put out on hockeybuzz, whether it be a blog or in the comment section? |

1) I don't know. But I think Boston could really use him (and Ristolainen, for that matter).
2) It's happened, but not recently. Never in an antagonistic way. |

Good to hear. An abundance of caution from the player or organization (or both)?

Regarding point 1....that is most likely the best way to pry away an "elite" talent vs. just a very good prospect. As an example, Claude and Risto to Boston may be enough to get them to move Fabain Lysell (maybe not) whereas G alone probably wouldn't.

G alone will get it done. Their options are slim. Its Giroux or Hertl atm. Pavelski seems to be off the table with DAL in a playoff spot

That's where I see Boston countering with something like Beecher, that next prospect tier down. Solid prospect for sure, but not the potential for elite level.
I hope you are right and G alone gets it done but personally, if some team is offering a elite level type prospect and it takes a package vs. breaking it apart and getting solid but not spectacular prospect....then Id prefer the elite as we have Forrester, Desnoyer and a couple others in the near term middle six. Then we'd have the trade player and this year's first flirting with top 2 line play. |

Is Boston wants a defenseman who can defend well they should target Braun, not Ristolainen. Risto's low hockey IQ and habit of going out of position to chase hits will be even more of an issue if he ever gets into the playoffs.

I agree. If I want a depth 3rd pair guy, I'm taking Braun over Ristolainen.

Per Sam Carchidi:
The Flyers’ 22-year-old center had been benched because Derick Brassard is finally healthy and is on the third line. Philly is showcasing Brassard for a potential trade.
The trade deadline is March 21.
The Flyers figure to recall Frost if Brassard is dealt. For now, Frost needs to play for Lehigh Valley and show Philly he is part of their future. Even if the Flyers can’t deal Brassard, Frost needs to return later this month and demonstrate what he can do on the NHL level.
He missed practice Monday because he was heading to Allentown, home of the Lehigh Valley Phantoms. He needs to get lots of minutes, play in all situations, and regain his confidence.
Frost, a first-round draft selection (27th overall) in 2017, has seven points (two goals, five assists) and a minus-10 rating in 30 games this season. He is without a goal in his last 18 games.
Yeo:
“It’s tough to build that offensive confidence in this league,” Yeo said. “This is an unforgiving league, where you’re playing against the best defenders, night after night. … I have complete confidence in him to put him on the ice against any player in the league, for that matter. I think you’ve seen me start him in D-zone faceoffs against top lines, and I think the next part of his development is to have that confidence in his offensive ability, and that’s going to come.”

I agree. The Flyers have such a stacked lineup that they can't find a spot for both Brassard and Frost in the lineup.
Any mention anywhere of Frost being a lazy player?

The fourth rounder we will get for brassard is worth more to the team than Frosts development. Logical thinking right. |

Boston could use them, but do not have the resources (picks, prospects or young players) to get them. I think I would put MN as the front runner for G right now. I still think the Flyers will resign Risto before the deadline, not what I would do but I think the Flyers want to keep him and lock him up. |

Breaking in on the wing was good enough for Giroux but not Frost....so if he never gets the picture at center, we've wasted how long not getting him ready for wing?

Frost is developing where he belongs right now, playing on the top line for the Phantoms with Tanner Laczynski. |

We’ve been out of the playoff race since December but somehow can’t find a spot to play our top prospect. |

They are two different posts.
1 was from Carchidi in regards to show casing Brassard.
Yeo then quotes on why frost was sent down. He was sent down for his development. Stated he needs more confidence in his offensive game.
