...and here I was yesterday talking about how the Pens were playing down to their competition a few seasons ago and how I didnt like it... and then they go and do it for the first time this season last night...and you guys don't think superstitions and jinxes are real....
The proof is in the pudding.
I posted this at the end of the last blog comments as well....but felt it had to be said in here again....dont ask why, just trust the process |

1) I think we should change the name of that goal from "The Michigan" to the "The Tortorella"
2) Has Yohe always been kind of anti-Malkin? |

I don't want to say he's in the "messing up the chemistry" crowd, but he kind of is. He just always seems to have back-handed compliments with Malkin.
The last two games of that 6 game/8 day road trip, the Pens let up 40+ shots, the most all year and then one more game upon their return they did the same. Yohe blamed that on Malkin's return instead of the obviously exhaustion they were feeling and since then he harps on Geno's turnovers.

So is Malkins 6 game point streak canceling out his negative affect on the rest of the lineup? Or is that kind of talk just reserved for Evander Kane? He also looked great spinning around in circles in the high slot on Seattle’s ot winner. |

Been like this for a bit now usually minus half a period per game where they bury 3 goals. I suppose it could just be fatigue. And malkin is pretty notorious for egregious errors that turn into goals. Least we got a break coming up. Should help. |

Exactly. Can’t believe resigning Geno is even being considered. |

No he's just a (frank)ing Yinzer. He regularly defends Madden but is still susceptible to the Yinzer brain rot that forces you to get overly disgruntled whenever Malkin does something that isn't great. |

That's all you needed to say. I feel like Madden craps on Malkin plenty.

Interesting. His articles just seem to say obligatory positive things about Malkin only to dig at him.

There’s plenty of things about Malkins game that lends itself easily to getting dug into. I’d offer him 4.5 1 year prove it deal. |

That will be a neat trick. It's obviously possible, but they need one of CGY, ANA or LAK to fall off hard.

It's always been that way for Malkin, and always frustrated me. He and Letang are the same, both world class players and absolutely key to the team winning, and both prone to really dumb plays at times. Yet one's f' ups are pointed out constantly and one's are largely ignored. One is irreplaceable and one should have been traded years ago. Even here in the blogs, one should be given whatever he wants and one should be offered Marino money on a prove it deal(yeah, I know extremely dumbass take but it does show the discrepancy). It's just sad. As irreplaceable as a true #1 Dman is, so is a point per game #1 center willing to play as a #2. |

McGinn to the second line. He has been playing his ass off. I hope this works and he sticks there. |

8 points behind Anaheim with 7 games in hand. 6 points behind LA with 5 games in hand, 2 points behind Calgary. No one needs to fall off at all. Edm just needs to right the ship a little and I think kane will help, and be a boost to the rest of the team. |

Why are you so defensive of Kane and the Oilers? Are you also a dead beat dad with gambling problems? |
