Swap McLeod and Hyman and that might be the projected lines with Kane. And if they add Kane you can subtract about 20% of the fanbase. But Kevin Lowe won't care if they offend non of the real fans. You know, the ones who buy the 10 season tickets available these days.

Hyman on the third line provides a much better mix in my opinion if McLeod can build some chemistry with McDavid. Hyman and JP both play kind of the same roll on the McDavid line and feels a little redundant. Hyman on the third line also gives the team a right shot who can take faceoff draws. Nuge struggles mightily on those.

Is Kevin Lowe still with the Oilers? If MacTavish gets the coffee and donuts for the meetings, what possible role could he play?

Not saying this to continue the annoying joke, by Iiro Pakarinen is an Olympian.

Others include:

Current Condors' player Adam Cracknell

David Desharnais (2017)

Dominik Kahun (2021)

Tobias Rieder (2018-19)

Gaetan Haas (2019-21)

Tomas Jurco (2019-20) (I don't even remember him lol)

Martin Marincin (2013-15)

Patrick Russell (2018-21)

Markus Granlund (2019-20) (weird year lol)

Teemu Hartikaninen (2010-13) (Teammates with Granlund and former Oiler Philip Larsen)

Anton Lander (2011-17) (we'll see his return one day)

Anton Slepyshev (2015-18) (could have been useful)

I would put Kane with McDavid. Hyman on right wing. Finally give McD an elite goal scorer. Also might work to have McLeod with RNH and Puljijarvi as a 3rd line. That leaves Drai to carry Yamo and I guess Foegele. Would like to see Holloway eventually swap in for Foegele.

Yeah, Kane signing will be the final straw for me I think. I can take the losing, whatever, but that is a terrible decision. Just call up Holloway when he is ready.

McLeod should also be taking faceoffs for the third line. Nuge is ass at them.

Of the two, I prefer Jesse on the 3rd line. He's more effective at driving a line's results and I get the impression McDavid doesn't love playing with the guy.

As much as I dislike the thought of Kane on the team, if he signs for just the rest of the season and at like a pro-rated $1 mil value, then pushing other players down to the third line would be great. As a third line, that would be awesome.

Someone should keep track of the Oilers fans who say they are finished if Kane signs. All will be back. It's like all the Hollywood lemmings who said they would leave the US if Trump gets elected. None of them left.

I personally have no intention of jumping ship, but my fiscal support to the team has completely dried up. I am probably a 3rd, or maybe 4th tier fan nowadays, according to Mr.Rings.

I get much more excited for Wings games now a day. I only watch the Oilers because it's a (frank)ing train wreck and makes for good entertainment.

Preach it, sister!

Hope we get him for the rest of this season... signing him after this season to a mult-year contract would probably be a mistake though.

Ryan Rishaug is a (frank)ing idiot:

"McDavid almost puts one in, SH goal at the other end. Odd read by Bouchard on the blue line. Didn’t sense the danger. Oilers in another 2-0 hole, Koskinen fighting it."

The guy allowed a goal after a bad turn over by Keith and bad defense by Foegele and Ceci. Then he allowed a break away goal. Somehow that's "fighting it".

Oilers media is (frank)ed man.

Would be a good move for the Oil to add Kane. Van should be signing him.

I don’t want Van to sign him so that’s why I want the oil to do it.

How can you justify Canadian Olympian and 50 goal scorer Zach Hyman from being on the top line?
