How about that too many men penalty that pretty much wrapped up the game? Maybe the worst call I’ve ever seen. Did he forget the Blues weren’t already serving a penalty? How does he not make that call 14 times a game if that was too many men? Every other line change looks like that.

Did you miss the non call the game before on the Oilers winning goal? Somethings have a way of evening out.

Thanks Trevor.

You mean where Kylington interfered with JP attempting to get set up in the slot on a 2 on 1 vs Tanev? The offensive player is entitled to his ice too.

It’s one game. Flames actually played good and easily could have won by 2 or 3. Doesn’t change the fact that the coilers still suck. So live up your moment. You will be off the oilers ban wagon when they go on the next loosing streak.

Flames actually should have won. But Koskinen stood on his bald spot in the 3rd and stole that game I suspect the Oilers lose their next 5 or so games unless Koskinen plays like that for a full game or so going forward.

But that play between JP and Kylington to me is still a 50/50. Interference could have been called either way. Puljujarvi was entitled to his ice as the most forward player. Did Kylington skate into him thinking Tanev had Drai contained to prevent the pass? or did Puljujarvi get in Kylington's way to prevent the back check? Ask the refs who called the game and I bet they feel the same way. How does Paul Stewart feel about it? Look at the play without your teams tinted glasses. Imagine that was Tkachuk while Johnny was attempting the play. Flames fans would then say clean and Oilers fans calling dirty.

good read

the BLUES have let me some bad habits creep into there gameplay even in the Vancouver game it was showing

I like Husso's game but there is no controversy in goal JB is the #1

good Flamethrower scorching win by CGY!

BLUES came flat and it was terrible loss that showed a few holes that need to be addressed in practice and by the deadline.

Well I’m sure the announcers pointed it out as I wasn’t watching that. Oiler announcers to boot. You’re right Koskinen stole that game and exposed the Flames depth for what it is. I don’t get why Sutter has a hard time playing our youth. Ruzicka played a great game last night, would love to see Gawdin given a chance. Ritchies got 0 goals and isn’t providing much of anything, Pitlick was a waste of a draft pick, Richardson is slow and Lewis will always play cause he’s Sutters boy.

Ritchie should have excelled against the Oilers, but he didn't. He skates well, tries hard, but is a greater risk to take a penalty than Pitlick is. I'd swap him out. Adam R. looked really engaged during the Blues game, which was nice to see because one mistake and Sutter staples him to the bench again. He's almost there, in terms of trust from the coach.

When Ritchie plays a rough tough style he’s effective, over wise he’s just taking a spot. If he ever scores a goal, look out.

It was Hanryan Singh who I believe is more of a Canucks broadcaster and DeBrusk who is usually an Oilers color guy. And they were going off about the race thing because of the Panetta vs Subban thing more than the game in the 3rd. Watch the play with neutral eyes and you can see it could go either way. But because it was against the flames it is favored that way in these parts. I am in no means saying it was one or the other guys faults. just understand the reason for no call. Puljujarvi is as entitled to that ice as Kylington was.

Even with as bad as the Flames have played over the last month and a half, Markstrom is still a top 10 goalie in the league.

People forget this and are quick to jump all over him when he’s not at his best.

How many coaches did it take for Klyington to get a shot? If Sam Bennett taught this franchise anything, development takes time...
He looks more confident each time he plays. That was a perfect game for him to stretch his wings a bit.

Canucks fans watched Ian Clarke save Markstrom's career after FLA bailed on him. 5 years the Canucks invested in Marky but knew he basically had brick-walled. Still an excellent tender overall and kudos for getting his career back on track but his play will always be spotty at best. He won't be the 'guy' if the Flames ever turn the corner. Is what it is. Big win OIL K-Man are you sucking it this AM?

I think Kylington showed up 2nd in team fitness this year. That had to have something to do with his great start... probably says something about his commitment too. Bennett was doing well with Sutter hockey before Treliving moved him Would have liked to see how he did for a full year with Dutter.

Was always a Bennett fan (still am as long as he's not playing the Flames) but his time here was done. Kylington finally looks like an NHL D-man. Reflective of a proper development plan (IMO).
