so, how long of a leash does Rask get? maybe the guy can find his game again, but the season is half over and the Bruins don't have the luxury of letting Rask stumble around for another 6,8,10 games.

Yeah, another bungle by management. There was no urgency to get Rask on the roster. Sway and Ullmark were doing very well since the break. Rask should have stayed on the PTO until he had at least 4-5 games in Providence to "prove" he was back before signing him with the B's. Now their hands are tied. They can't send him down now, he'll get snatched up (and likely retire)unless they can use some sort of conditioning assignment?

What would be the problem with that? (a non-sarcastic question)

Win 6 out of 7 games. Lose one game.

"Management really bungled that one"

That being said, they started Tuuk last night because they don't want him to face Colorado. So thats not great.

I didn’t get to go to the game last night but if it’s true and the fans were chanting “we want Swayman”. We’ve now disrespected both of our goalies in a two week span.

We’ve become quite the fan base.

I'm missing something...I was talking about bungling the Rask situation. He should have played some games in the AHL to prove he was okay and to "knock the rust off" before signing him to the Bs and sending down a goalie, who to this point, has played much better than Rask. To be clear, I have no issue with signing Rask and do think it was the right call...just not how it was handled. There was NO rush to get Rask in the NHL before he was ready...Sway and Ullmark were doing fine after the break.

Yeah, unfortunately it doesn't look like Rask is 100% ready so its not a great look. Now is the time to get him NHL action though since they are pretty comfortable in the standings. He will be fine when it comes down to it.

But that's just it...they aren't all that comfortable in the standings. I don't know about you, but I would prefer at least the possibility of a home ice series in the playoffs. That is very possible if we don't throw away games now. I'll say it again, there was no need to rush Rask to the NHL. Heck, their original timeline didn't have him joining the club until probably after the Olympic break. He could be in Providence doing no harm while he gets back in game shape. Again, I agree with the Rask signing, just think it was rushed too soon.

I'm sure they will make the playoffs, just don't see home ice happening, or a deep run for that matter with the current line up.

Agree with your Rask point. Should have been patient for a few games in Providence.

You realize the CAP-space also shrinks with every game played, right?

Or are you suggesting teams that trade to us retain salary/cap?

Tuukka has consistently let in the first soft goal, and has given up 5+ goals twice

the Bruins are clinging to a wildcard spot right now. they have games in hand on some of the teams they are jostling with, but now is not the time for Rask to have a rough stretch. if he doesn't right the ship soon, the Bruins will be on the outside looking in.

They have an 8 point lead with games in hand… it’s also Detroit. Unless the islanders go on an absolute insane 2nd half. The Bruins are pretty comfortable in the standings

My preference would be to NOT be the eighth seed...

Honestly, regardless of where they finish. They are getting a good team. The east has 8 pretty solid teams.

Perfect, I agree totally, Bunch of spoiled A-Holes.

I know everyone s focusing on a center or a D, which they SHOULD, but what did everyone think of that game and pretty much the whole Anaheim Team, going after Steen, I don't blame them, we would want something done too. SO, forget about Freddy coming back, he just can't stay healthy. Once playoffs start, this will get Really Ugly, our D and our top players will get absolutely B-slapped all over the ice, this NEEDS to be addresses as well, CAM step up man, We know you can see it ??

Too many dudes jerking jack Edwards off to realize where the problem lies. Have fun enjoying a very unfun first round exit on the status quo

Jack Edwards (frank)ing sucks there I said it. He can't keep up pace when calling the game nevermind the fact that since 2006 he hasn't learned a single. (frank)ing. thing. about Hockey.
