He likely wouldn’t have, but it irks me, K-man. It irks me greatly that they gave them that pick for Brian Elliott.

Nice to see Gaudreau playing good tonight but man I wish he would do the same when he play’s the oilers. The pressure of playing the oilers seems to get to him his 3rd was ok tho.

I think I would have rather the flames beat the oilers like this. and then loose to the blues

I agree, lots of GMs using 2nd round picks like loonies and twoonies. I actually thought it was a good trade at the time based on Elliot’s performance the year before. Good thing I’m not GM.

Having to play the Blues again this week isn't great.

Flames This team is good when they buy into Sutter system. When they get away from the system, they look completely different and inferior team. The way the team is built they have to play the system and everyone has to understand their role. Let's go Flames. We need to keep Johnny and Tkachuk
