Everyone said Jarry shouldn’t play another game at the end of last year. |

That said^. Desmith shouldn’t play anymore. |

Halak would be a perfect fit. Unfortunately for you Pens fans, he has a NMC and somebody knowledgeable (Friedman, I think) recently reported that he doesn’t seem interested in waiving it.
I was disappointed when I read it because, as a Habs fan, I’ve always wanted to see his name on the Cup but NOT while wearing a B on his chest! |

At this point I'm not sure Arizona would do that. |

Despite the frustrations, Kapanen is still on pace for almost 50 points and can still garner a solid return. AZ probably sees no need to move top picks yet. They've just begun their rebuild.
Crouse's season is likely an aberration and regresses back to his norm next year. Pens would be trading for the hot hand that will likely cool off. |

For Jarry everything relies on what he does in the playoffs. This is great what he is doing now but if he melts down like last year, no way the Pens go with him anymore. |

Huh? I'm just saying Arizona wouldn't make that trade. They probably will just try to get the highest pick possible. They have done a killer job at gaining assets. |

I know, I was just confused as you proposed the trade originally, then basically said it would be a bad trade lol. |

It's hard to lose 10 games in a row in 1 season... the fact the Flyers have been able to have 2 different 10 game losing streaks is pretty damn impressive.
hate to see it. |

AZ is in a weird spot and Crouse is probably the last piece they can get a decent future for, so not sure what they'll do, but they have to fill out their lineup to hit the cap floor, so they need bodies.
I think less than half of their lineup is either still under contract or RFAs, so IMO any trades that can get them players under contract or RFAs helps them not have to go nuts in FA. |

Saw some people talking about how they might move Chychrun for a top end player who might cost more. They will be able to hit the floor just by taking on some contracts again. Really though, they should be in the market to now move some of those picks and get some talent in.
They have one more slot for salary retention open so if they eat half of Kessel's contract I think they could get a decent enough return. |

I’d trade Zucker and Kap for Crouse just so Sullivan couldn’t play Malkin with those guys and Rod would be permanently in the top six. |

He's been a Penguin for 9 games and already has more goals in WBS than Poulin, Legare, and Hallander |

Baby Pens coach gave him a nice endorsement about getting back to the NHL. Said he plays the exact kind of game the Pens are looking for and only needs to work on "small things" to get back to the NHL. |
