RIP Clark, there is a corner in heaven that you don’t need to battle for anymore.

Even thought I just had Ed Hospodar on my podcast Inappropriate Earl it's probably when he one punched him after Hospodar elbowed Bossy and then chased Gillies around and then BAM! Boxcar was never the same fighter after that and ironically enough they later became teammates and friends on Buffalo.

I'm a Flyers fan here and remember the good ole days when the Flyers/Isles had some epic battles. My brother was lucky enough to golf with him at a charity event in Florida a few years back and he said he was a cool fun loving dude. RIP big guy.

Rangers fan here, grew up during the great Islander Cup runs and was always a fan of Bossy, Trots and of course, Gillies. All 3 my childhood heroes as I scored countless Cup winning goals in my driveway (with my mom in net I might add). Sad news about a great player and great person. To be honest, this 1 really hurts. Rest in Peace, CG, thank you for the childhood memories, you will be missed.

Even though I am a Rangers season ticket holder, I attended a number of Islanders fantasy camps run by Bobby Nystrom. They were fun and affordable. One night, while sprawled on my back, Gillies pounded my pads repeatedly while laughing. I will never forget what he said to me..”this is what you get for being a goalie”
