Luckily I don't have to watch this tire fire of a team tonight since I'll be at the Preds game again watching ROY candidate, Tanner Jeannot play.

With Skinner scoring goals again, he is no longer the whipping boy. With Skunk, Risto, ECHL also gone, i don't know today's whipping boy is. Oloffson? |

Interesting take on Skinner, Hank. If he ends up with 30 goals or more instead of the 25 you predicted we're all going to come for you with pitchforks. |

Here's the early play this weekend:
OBJ anytime TD
Bucks -3
Packers -5.5
Bills to win outright
Pays a staggering +2,654

Despite what the coach said on the morning show today, I believe what my eyes tell me me, and that is VO is hurt. |

Good post and especially the great one analogy. I've always felt like top coaches were generally not the top athletes....
Hockey now has some good former gm/ big bosses
Though.
Mario
Drury
Sakic
Hextall
Roy
Strangely some french canadians....
Also , briere's always struck me as a bright fella.
Similar to KAGM.
Add a little continuity to the Sabres past / present.
I would love the move, super fan friendly .... - Boss34
Bill Guerin has done a hell of a job so far as GM of the Wild. |

Gonna be harder for him next year when his dead cap jumps from $4.6m to $12.6m and then to $14.6m for two more |

From a logical work and looking to progress in a work career perspective, I have to think at least part of the reason both Karmanos and Ventura agreed to join the Sabres is there being a clear path to move up with it feeling obvious that Adams will become VP of Hockey Ops at some point soon.
Bringing in Briere as the GM would block the future of Karmanos and Ventura.
With their lengthy experience, I'd be pissed if that happened and begin to look elsewhere if I were them. |

It's been easy so far for him?
You are your results in sports and so far, he's been in charge of a playoff team every season so far. |

That's fine if he wins the cup this year.
His salary cap the next 3 years will be $69m and $67m due to buyouts while every other team is at $81.5
If he pulls it off then I'll crown him |

So it's cup or nothing?
Sure would be nice for the Sabres to have a GM guide them to the playoffs even once... |

So far, they've looked like a playoff team during his tenure.
He deserves credit for that. |

He borrowed heavily against the future for the present. I respect his intestinal fortitude.
He also leveraged a whopping 15% of next year's cap on nothing to make it happen. He bet on himself. We'll see how it pans out |
