Closing the gap ,yes. But still a pretty big difference in talent. If it weren’t for Kahkonen in that first period that lead could easily been 4-0 Avs. As much as i hate them I will say Wild are getting better for sure.

Not sure if this is a back-handed compliment, or is a true compliment. I will take it as the real deal, like I had something to do with building the Wild roster as it sits today. While I agree that there is still more talent on the Avs than the Wild have, it is getting closer. Offensively, Colorado still runs away with it. Defensively, I would go with the Wild, even with Benn on the roster.

It comes down to goaltending I guess. Would you rather have Kuemper/Froncouz at $5.5 mil, or Talbot/Kahkonen at $4.391 mil. Again, I would take the Cam/KK route.

Nathan McKinnon by himself elevates the Avs offense to extreme heights. Though Kaprizov doesn't have the blazing speed the McKinnon has, he is really coming into his own now and has other intangibles that puts him not that far behind.

Hey, you up for a McKinnon/Landeskog trade for Rask/Gaudreau? Gotta check...

Add in the Hamburglar and it’s a deal

Ohhh, I don't know. Hamburglar is pretty important at the moment. Might have to sweeten the deal for me by adding Makar as well. And since I would be taking a dman from ya, I add a veteran dman in Jordie Benn along with Hamburglar to help even it out. See Geurin, simple as that. You just have to ask. I wonder if TB will give me Stamkos for Bjugstad, but each team retains the salary of the player traded.

And Avs303, thanks for being a good sport and playing along.
