Gila River Arena was close to 50% Flyers fan.
And the Coyotes goalie should get an assist on Brown's goal.

Like Frosts game, showing confidence with puck and really pretty good on the D side of the puck.

Allison and York back, least the franchise has something going in the right direction

With a name like Schmaltz, the dude should develop and sell his own brand of malt liquor.

He can even get Shaft and Huggy Bear to do a commercial advertisement for it, or maybe have a hip space-agey robot-droid in one... or maybe even get the surviving members of Kool & The Gang to sing a jingle about it...

And that's no BullSchlitz!

win next 2 of 3 and you are off life support but still in ICU

win 4 of 5 and out of ICU and into rehab

Games

NJ, MTL, OTT, WASH and PITT

Flyers came up small against the hardest part of their schedule it would appear. Other teams still need to hit their tough part

The Flyers didn't exactly out play Arizona last night. Any team right now is tough for the Flyers.

not saying they are playing well, but they can build on the last 2, especially with the upcoming opponents, this is a softer spot in the schedule from a competition standpoint. There are no easy games, hell Tampa got smoked 4-0 by OTT last night, Redwings have played better than expected. I will never hope to lose, so I am left with still hope to win. They do what I said above, improve their play along the way and you could start the new year on a roll. Then, Ellis should be back, maybe Allison is who we hoped he was last season and Brassard is healthy, it could just put them in a good spot to play some good hockey.

That said, I would not be shocked if they didn't play 500 hockey

Wins are nice but not sure what they can actually build on. Their defensive zone coverage is still a mess. They still can't sort out coverages. They've scored some goals and some players got off the snide. They can't even out play Arizona. They're a long way from playing some good hockey.

The best case scenario imo is that they continue to play better and good enough to win some games and stay above water until they get healthy. Once you get bee Ellis Allison etc back and we can then pray that they stay healthy for at least a while. At that point a more accurate evaluation can be made as to what is here and what needs to be done. Im fine with bringing in another coach other than yeo in the offseason but the problem is with the players not the coach imo.

In the offseason you make the call on who stays who goes. Perhaps let the ufa s walk or perhaps they go at the deadline. It’s not going to be easy to change the mix and I don’t expect a full rebuild.

They just went winless in 10 and now won two in a row. You gotta crawl before you can walk.

Allison gets called up in a week or two and they actually can put a decent forward line up out there.

Also the 3rd pair looks better.

Not sure why people want to give up on a season in December. The Flyers are 5 points out of a playoff spot and they are about to have a more favorable schedule. They are going to have to go on a run and win 10 of 12 or something like that to truly get back in the hunt, but why not. Thing I noticed last night was the bench just seemed like a happier place. Perhaps that was the weight of a 10 game losing streak removed from their shoulders or perhaps it was the removal of a couple of buddies(AV and Therrien).

No team is going to have success giving Ghost 26 minutes of ice time a game!!

Results don't mean jack poop if you don't have the process to repeat them. Thought we already learned that after the first few weeks.

Actually 6 points out and the Bruins in 8th slot have 2 games in hand.. as far as playing Ghost 26 minutes Arizona isnt looking for success they are looking for the #1 pick...AZ has a lineup that is half AHL quality guys

Flyers need to do everything possible to get Bedard In his draft year. The kid has a better shot than anyone on the flyers right now. Smaller guy but he will be a superstar in the NHL.

Yup
They only beat LV because Hart was phenomenal

They followed this by barely outplaying the worst team in the NHL whose franchise Dman and top player was out of the lineup.

No need to plan the parade just yet.

Yep, the Yotes are making a killing in the Ghost deal. Already have 2nd and 7th rounders from the Flyers and IF he keeps playing well they may get another second rounder at the deadline. Chucky says ooooops.

Teams in slumps lack confidence, they play even worse than they are, no structure as you say. If they put together a nice run, I am what that confidence will do for their play
