I agree that Stamkos needs to get Hart consideration. He has taken the forward group on his back. No Kuch, then Point, now Cirelli. I am tired of the narrative that these guys don't recognized because the team has Vasy, Hedman, Kuch, Point or Stamkos with them. McDavid has Leon, Ovechkin has Kuznetsov, MacKinnion has Rantanen and Makar, etc. Why do the Lightning players achievements get diminished because of other players on their team?

I also think if there is ever a year they finally give Cooper a Jack Adams award it will be this year as well. To lose entire third "second" line plus your fourth line center who was too good for the fourth line to go along with then losing Kuch and Point, Cernak and now Cirelli and having to integrate A BUNCH of rookies he has impressed me even more this year, guys have bought in and his system is being copied across the league. It's comical that he has not won this award yet as he has dominated the league since becoming the Lightning coach.

He never lost it, injuries have been trying to take it from him. If he had stayed healthy over the years he would have over 1000 games played, over 500 goals and assists and still going strong. Still a 0.52 goals per game career average and a hefty career shooting percentage around 17.5%.

maybe all of those injuries will indirectly extend his prime playing years. Stamkos has spent a lot of time on the shelf over the years and that is less wear and tear on his body. this assumes his injuries are fully recovered, which they appear to be.

Was at the game today, Tampa couldn't complete a breakout pass for their life. They also struggled to get really any zone time on the powerplay. I expected more from them tbh.

Point is their main zone entry guy. You can really see them struggle to consistently enter the O-zone with possession when Point is missing. They revert to a lot of dump and chase.
