Hains: No More Double Dipping Please
A few days ago, Jeff Gorton spoke to the media and confirmed that Dominique Ducharme was safe until the end of the season, but what if some things change in the coaching scenery of the NHL? |

As Patrick Roy said last week, this franchise has been going around in a circle since 1993, enough, it’s time to break the cycle and welcome a wind of change, but to do that, new VP of hockey operations Jeff Gorton must weather the storm and resist the popular pressure that is highly likely to be coming…
by "pressure", do you mean the pressure of re-hiring a guy like Therrien or Vigneault..?.
I wouldn't mind if Bouchard was considered, although I do wonder if that bridge hasn't already been burnt, even if he mentioned it ended in good terms with the habs... |

well we already know Ducharme is here to finish the season, and they won't have a better team on the ice by then, so ok, let's talk about politics... |

"The problem in MTL..." it's not a problem. It's a reality and all them angryphones should respect this (if they cant understand the why).
DD ain't that bad. Romanov and CC are getting better.
This roster is a disaster... |

Lets look outside the "franco pool". Mike Yeo and Bruce FatAssBoudrault are back in the NHL! |

In my opinion it is a problem and i am not an anglophone.
DD is bad and kids could be much better handled in other hands or someone needs to make him realize what the point of this season is now so that they get a lot of playing time and not 4th line duties.
But, it’s an opinion piece and you are allowed to have your opinion as well.

this doesn't mean that the next french-speaking coach would do the same thing... or that an english-speaking coach would do differently, for that matter.
but I know this debate will most likely never end... |

I was expecting something about Toffoli being also injured and expected to miss a few weeks.
It's hard to believe this team is missing about 40M in injured players (counting Weber). This team is better than what they have shown so far. I think if Petry would just be playing anywhere near top pairing level we would be so much better.
The season is scrapped, I just hope they take this opportunity to a a good reset/rebuild instead of trying to stretch out the window that just isn't there. |

Don't worry about Gorton hiring Vigneault, he fired his ass because he didn't liked the way he was handling and developing young players. Not going to happen.

Just more LITR cap space to build up to take on bad contracts at the deadline and be rewarded with extra picks and prospects.
All good.

#Habs Ducharme says Armia and Petry are doubtful for Tuesday vs Tampa.

I'm pretty sure you'd find the following in the Habs' locker room fridge

Good thing jerseys already come with name tags... otherwise we'd have no clue who was playing. |
