As long as Fletcher remains, the exorcism is not fully complete.

Right, he has been here for a decade leading this team. Make the playoffs, miss the playoffs, change coaches - wash rinse repeat but yup CF is the problem - what an educated answer

That joke of a captain presser after last nights game. “Win one than two than three than you don’t have to work to hard to win cuz you’re rolling”. Anything but hard work for this guy hahha what a disgrace

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. The Flyers way simply does not work anymore.

What are we at now, 7 coaches and 3 gms in the last 10 years?

You have to commit to a full scale rebuild at some point in the modern NHL. The last 10 years has been band-aid after band-aid.

It’s better to try and fail than to tread in the waters of mediocrity for an entire decade imo.

Well someone is going to be very disappointed.

All I see on Habs, Canucks, Isles, Kracken, Sens threads is that they are the ones getting Wright.

Now what? It’s been almost a decade since the Flyers had a contender. When Homer jettisoned the two young star centres out of town and brought in 4 really good players as a result. It appeared the Flyers had a chance to really build a strong team. But since then we had the Hextall era and it’s failings and now the Fletcher era that despite the effort to bring this team back to relevance is clearly not working. I’m actually really disappointed that AV didn’t work out. I’m disappointed that Giroux’s time here will be coming to an end. But what disappoints me the most is Fletcher implemented his plan and it to looks to be a failure on a bunch of levels….three straight poor GM performances has this team where it’s at today.

The Flyers are bad, but in typical Flyer fashion not bad enough.

Fletcher is a businessman who tries to be well thought out before making moves. But this move screams panic.

He brings in veteran coaches AV, Yeo, Therrien, to 'win now' along with veteran Ellis and gives away 1st and 2nd picks for Rasmus.

All moves scream 'win now.' I'm sure corporate comcast was very supportive of this make money now moves.

Instead, this team continues to do the same thing 10 years in a row now....play awful and look awful doing so.

Tear it down and put this dog of a team out of its misery!!!!!!

Will Comcast even allow a full scale tear down? If not there’s almost no point of even following this team anymore, what’s the best that can happen?

Without question. I seriously doubt that they have learned their lesson though.

Its going to be a long winter!

These players are ridiculous, how many coaches have they tuned out and given up on? It better not be true that Tocchet is being considered for the coaching job.
Time to make some trades and salary dumps.

Fletch hasn’t been here long enough to place the blame squarely on him, yet. It’s not trending in any sort of positive direction however.

They need to get the old heads in the shadows out of the building because I honestly think Comcast looks to them for direction. This franchise needs to start looking outward for a change. No reason why Homer, Clarke etc should be involved with the front office in any way.

I don’t think so….they are tied to two 30 year old centres for the next 6-7 years and Ellis for the next 6….I think they bought the Fletcher plan and now must live with it.
