I've enjoyed reading the commentary for here for many years so figured I should join in the fun. Tonight's loss was disappointing and it's all because of Chris Vandevelde, Brandon Manning, Chris Stewart, Nate Thompson, and Risto's bad play the other night. That said, let's hope Farabee's injury isn't too serous and so looking forward to seeing what Allison can do if/when healthy. Go Flyers!

One of the easier wins the rangers will have this year. That baby was riding in cruise halfway through the first never had to break speed.

I thought it was a better effort but there’s a point when a coaching change will be made. It’s the only move chucky has. You get to 10 or 15 losses and the season is over. No way you’re catching anyone in this div or the wildcards. You’d need a 10 game run just to get back into the conversation.

Frost looks like he belongs. Another horrible pick by hextall. What a farce? I mean he didn’t make the team and dominate immediately out of junior and made the team wait for him to develop. The nerve.

I know some on this forum want AV and Fletcher gone and I can understand the frustration, however I am sick and tired of coaches being the scapegoat because of players with nothing but Suck! Therefore, I was extremely pleased with the frustration and honesty from AV in his post game presser, for the first time this year he is throwing his players under the bus and GOOD FOR HIM! Its good to see a head coach fight back from all the calls to replace him that is coming from the wretched media. They can all stick it as far as I am concerned. I love that AV pointed out that his players are just not finishing, they are capable of finishing but right now for whatever reason they are not. Look at the shot chart from last night's game, not only did the Flyers outshoot the Rangers, a majority of their shots came from prime scoring areas, and yet, still .. only 1 goal for! The Flyers I thought outplayed the Rangers in the 2nd half of the game, still, only 1 goal for! I also love that AV apparently told his PK about that exact Ranger play their PP scored, and yet his PK forward up top got totally twisted their and could not get what should have been an obvious blocked shot. IMO, these players are just not executing, and I sincerely hope that if this continues, Fletcher does his job at the deadline and continues what he started this past off season.

For the first time at the NHL level, I saw "it" from Frost last night. I liked him on the PP and I liked him 5 v 5, he was generating chances and flying out there. If he can continue to build on this, he will be a very nice addition to this team in an area they desperately need offense from.

The goal to start the second was when I turned it off. This team needs some sort of spark. They are capable of more.

Good news is tickets are down to Spectrum era prices on the secondary market.

Yandle, JVR, Lindblom, are simply awful there is no other way to put it. There is zero contribution from these 3 with a combined 1 goal.
Provorov and Couturier ...what happened ?
Frost IMO has shown he belongs
I thought Hart was solid last night and the score board could have been 6-1
TK, is very inconsistent along with Atkinson. How much of these guys play can be put on the coach I don't know, but the staff will probably be gone and should be.
What hurts more is Jake and Ghost look to be both doing very well....ouch

Look at these long term contracts:
Ex selke
Hayes
Ellis
Oscar
Laughton2
Cam

What value do they have if they even looked into trading them? Add in long term deals to TK and Joel who are just solid plyers really.

They have no forward prospects who will make an impact in at least the next 2 years imo. If they do it will be minimal as no star/elite level player out of the group. They have no center depth coming up in the system. Defense you have 2 guys who are knocking on the door then a bunch of question marks. No sure things. Solid prospects goalie wise oddly enough.

Yes this organization is in great shape to make a run the next few years. So fn dumb to resign ex selke and Laughton. Ex selke seems to have embraced the Flyers country club lifestyle with his play.

3 yrs ago the Rangers tell their fans they are going to rebuild and clean house of most vets and accumulate Cap space and draft picks. Now they sit with a Norris winner..a Hart candidate and a Vezina candidate one via trade..one via FA..one via draft. They are a top 5 team in the league fielding the 5th or 4th youngest team and a number of their young players Kakko..LAF..Chytil havent even hit stride yet. Meanwhile we do a rebuild or retool and we are worse off then we were 3 yrs ago if thats possible. So sad what has become of this franchise this team is totally unwatchable with no clear path out of this hell.

Keep spinning. Saint Ronnie made terrible picks. That is a fact. Also easy to look like you belong when majority of the team has quit. But hey keep pumping up Saint Ronnie.

He will soon learn that is not the Flyers way..slow methodical with bad passing and unable to accept a pass is the way we play. Remember when TK was playing the way you see Frost being able to play. Took him couple of years but he learned the Flyers way and is now invisible most nights

AV and Fletcher are the epitome of average at their jobs. Their track record shows this.

None of this is surprising. It only takes 1-2 injuries to reveal this team has absolutely no depth. AV isn't even close to the kind of coach needed for a roster of this composition.

The farm system is pretty thin right now for sure, that is why I stated if this season is over early Fletcher has got to clean more house, get some more picks and restock the system using what people are calling a deep draft. BTW Oscar is only signed for this year and next, so I would not consider that long term. Laughton is signed long term but at a good number, so he is tradable if Fletcher decides to do that.

Any wretched media would be correct if they are criticizing the coaching staff. The coaching staff is a big part of why this team is collectively in a goal scoring slump. Think about it. There are plenty of players on this team that are proven to have the ability to score goals in this league. Yet the entire team at the same time is in a goal scoring slump? All of them now suck? This was building all season. Tell me what this coaching staff did to help? I'll tell you what they did. Nothing. The same way they did nothing last year to fix the defensive woes. As far as the PK is concerned. All season the Flyers have not been effective at limiting scoring chances. All season long there has been confusion with the Flyers diamond force PK. What has the coaching staff done other than maybe practice or show video? Nothing. Switch to a wedge +1 if your team can't play your scheme. He waited far too long to switch up lines to mix player who at the time were finishing with players who generating chances. Oskar Lindblom has degraded to the point where he's on the 4th line and is now sitting on the bench for games. This is on the coach. This coaching staff has shown no ability to improve the team and make adjustments. Time for them to go. The stubborn GM who is just as bad though, won't do a dam thing. Maybe another sad and pathetic press conference is in order. Another lost season.

What Frost showed last night, was what he has shown in numerous NHL games. It's nothing new. It's always been there.
