What a great team to watch. It’s refreshing to watch a team that can play any typo of game the opposition presents!

Jets showed flashes of fantastic rush chances, converting on a couple. The defensive gaffes in their own end seemed frequent, so the late game heroics while welcome, felt like an absolute steal. Hopefully that opens the floodgates for Fly. I often knock the offensive chops of Copp, but that goal was a seeing eye snipe.

The play of Helle seems to be rounding into form and the early goal by the PLD line (Svechnikov) was gorgeous.

You are 100% right with both your comments. The transition game has been stellar with this group, and Nate Schmidt deserves a lot of credit too. Seems as if every time he makes a play up the ice he finds a ton of room for the open man. Really impressed with the teams breakout/o-zone rushes

I was torn. I have Gibson and Ehlers in one of my drafts. While I thought I was about to get a win from Gibson I was happy to finally see Ehlers do something. Hope this breaks him out from here.

I have said this in the past when he was drafted and will repeat it again that Zegras is heading for super-stardom in the NHL. What an absolutely fantastic player. Just a pleasure to watch this kid play. He will just get better and better.

I agree with Pastor about the lineup we will see when Wheeler and Scheifele come back. Unfortunately Maurice will break up all of his lines, except Nash and Toninato in order to accommodate Wheeler and Scheifele. He will press box players that don't deserve it and explain why his decision is correct in his humorous way. That's why he's referred to as the professor and the Jets have very little chance of winning the cup.

This could very well be end up being the case. I do not think that Wheeler is washed up. At this point in his career, he makes for an excellent complimentary piece for a contending team.

Limiting his minutes and getting him more favourable matchups is something that uncle Paul should be looking at doing for Blake.

Definitely not washed up but most NHL players peak in the 24-28 year old range. Wheeler was a late bloomer and likely peaked around 28-32 yrs old. Generally speaking one would think most first lines are made up of players at or near their peak age. Blake should not be on the first line anymore and the fact that he loses a lot of puck battles and suffers from a lot of giveaways just echos that line of thinking. He has become especially vulnerable near the end of his shifts. Less ice time would really benefit his play with more energy and speed. Just my two cents.

I agree. Wheeler is still a good player, but he is gassed every night. He needs a TOI reduction. 3rd line and PP time will probably see him yeilding a similar PPG, while someone else can get a chance in the top 6. Only problem is the deficiency in righty's since Laine, Ras, Appleton all departed.

Two players that have really impressed me this year are PLD and KC. That line with them and Svechnikov is incredible.

My issue with his actions was not about the reponse following the meeting as the decision was made to let a higher level of authority manage it. My issue is that he was part of the silence when it was clear that there was no adequate follow through by the higher-ups and the duty to act fell to all who had knowledge of the actions of Mr. Aldrich.

The NHL had a chance to get in front of the issue and do the right things and instead have chosen to 'manage' the issue. In doing so they have all but guaranteed a bigger, messier process that will leave a bigger stain on the sport and NHL. The paltry 2 million fine by the NHL, and 'honorable discharges' handed to those most directly involved and exoneration of Chevy and others is a continuation of the kind of thinking that allows predatory behaviours to continue.
