Well that wasn't the end result I wanted... but alas... almost an exact 180 from the 1st game of the year... Helly was awesome and JG pretty weak on a couple including the 3-1 goal which I thought was terrible to give up//

Props to the Jets for finishing chances and rolling without 2 big players in Blake and Mark.

Not a good game from Drysdale either... although at 19 he's gonna a few clunkers... but I still think he ends up being the best player from that draft.

Good reporting Jacob. As good as Copp has looked so far this season trading him before he leaves as a UFA would be smart. If Ottawa would give up Brannstrom the Jets should jump at this trade. However he wouldn't play as we all know how Maurice feels about playing vets over youth. The Jets should keep Dubois, Svetch and Connor together as this line looked dangerous all night but don't expect Maurice to do this.

Bang up job Jacob. Copp for Brannstrom, do it now. Both teams benefit from it.

I would do Copp for Branstrom. I would then use Branstrom in a trade to acquire Karlsson from San Jose!

Yeah…. that Karlsson cap hit should be no problem with all the Jets cap space.

Like they say, buy low, sell high. So the Jets should unload him now! Sens would pay a premium for a guy to help them now like Andrew Copp.

Why would anyone do Copp for Brannstrom? We have Heinola waiting who is a better Brannstrom, along with four or five other young D ready t join the big club.
Trading Copp means we have to trade for a Copp at the deadline? Copp is our rental this year.

And how would you fit Karlsson under the cap? A couple of guys to LTIR, you know like the Bolts?

Yea, I'm not exactly sire why we would trade Copp for Brannstrom either. Like we are swimming in d-men right now.

If anything, I would want a young forward and a draft choice back for Copp. But right now we need Copp. Period! If, heaven forbid, we fall out of the playoff race, he will make a nice trade chip at the deadline, barring a re-signing.

Apparently we need a top six player with right handed shot, maybe something with Connor brown could be worked out. Not sure Ottawa would want Copp with an expiring contract and agree with Ross and graham that the Jets won’t trade him unless they fall out of the playoff picture or are blown away by an offer.

Nice to see Jets getting done without Wheeler and Scheiffle.
