Was anyone able to see the Wild opener? I am looking forward to the game tonight, The Kings are a really good team , I picked LA to finish second In the Pacific.

The Wild showed some rust last night. After the Wild scored the winner with 7 seconds left, the Ducks won the face off cleanly at center and Talbot had to make 2 saves to preserve the win.

Duhaime showed a lot of speed. I thought Duhaime, Sturm, Gaudreau, Goligoski and Talbot looked good.

Lol. The superstar scored last night! I streamed the Ducks broadcast so no LaPanta or Walz.

Actually kinda glad the Wild won that game. After a good penalty kill late in the third, Anaheim inexplicably goes to the trap for the rest of the game. I f@cking HATE the trap! Especially with a young team that Anaheim has. Play to win!

Solid Wild win. Tight defense, good goaltending and while the score was close, the Wild outshot the Ducks by a wide margin. Great night by what could be one of the better 3rd lines in hockey including getting the GWG. Great start.

I watched the Wild-Ducks game on ESPN+. It had Leah Hextall doing play-by-play. Not very good...reminded me of Monty from the movie "Major League". To quote Monty... "fly ball......caught". Just not very good. Broke down after that and got DirectTV streaming to get Bally Sports. Was actually thankful for Lapanta on Saturday night.

I know the West Coast teams are not considered to be very strong clubs. But it was nice to see the Wild basically flip a switch in that 2nd period and pretty much dominate soring 4 goals (too bad Duhaime first goal was called back). I am liking what I am seeing from that 4th line...even Bjugstad his actually throwing his body around and into people.

Yeah, Rask scored, again because of Kaprizov. That is the problem with Rask and what I just don't understand about the Wild's fascination with him. He needs to play with studs to be anywhere close to helpful. Imagine what Zuccarello and Kaprizov could do with an actually talented center playing with them. I have been impressed with Gaudreau so far as well, as he appears to have a motor that is running at 120%, but still under control. The defense has been decent so far, not great, but not terrible either.

Now to make Gump happy. After just 2 games, Dumba is scaring the hell outta me with more boneheaded plays. It's like he is just waaaay over excited if the puck is on his stick in the d-zone. Maybe they need to give him a couple of shots of whiskey inbetween periods to help calm him down. Evason really needs to talk with him and get him to slow down and make sure his breakouts are effective and he is not just handing the puck to the other team.

Yeah, I find this funny as well. Maybe they did it because the Wild have never been in the spot before, so CBS decided to give it to them for a week. Normalcy will come back.

Kylington skates well and can move the puck. He would be an upgrade on the Wild defense over Merrill. Benn being the next man up is scary.

Soucy scored the only Kraken goal in their loss to Philadelphia.
