is the sky falling for the Rangers?

Analysis: Back-to-back years where a recent first round pick of the Rangers is looking to be dealt from the club. The Rangers dealt with the same situation last season, as Lias Anderson requested a trade and was eventually moved to the Los Angeles Kings. Now Kravtsov is looking to do the same.

If the price was right, I'd take Kravtsov. I believe he's only 21 years old, has size and can score.

I picked up Couturier and Hart in the last few rounds of my fantasy draft on Monday. I hope Hart and the Flyers can turn it around this season. Steals.

It will be a full week since we last played on Friday. If these guys are in question to play, I’d say it’s a little more than bumps and bruises

It's a lower body issue for Ellis (perhaps related to a shot he blocked in his final shift of last Friday's game). It's an upper-body issue for Ristolainen (perhaps related to one of his seven hits on the night or a hit he took).

Curious who would move up with Provorov if Ellis is out. 82 games was always probably an unlikely expectation.

Sanheim makes the most sense imo.

Yea maybe a super swollen ankle Or something and they are being super cautious with both but we had quite the gap between games for them both to be in question for Friday. And I read the blog!

I mean, I can’t even imagine icing a D core without those two guys, it will be ugly.

Kravtsov is going to cost at least 1st round puck. Rangers dont have to do anything and can give him the Puljujarvi treatment. Another whiny Russian

Bill,
If they suspected anything more significant than a swollen foot or bruising from a blocked shot, they would have done an MRI/Xray and placed him on the injured list, yes? I think both guys play Friday night. Hopefully it is nothing that lingers.

Anderson was and is a bust they did well to get a 2nd rd pick for him and turned it into a power forward prospect. He has been awful and a regular scratch with Kings. Kravtsov wasnt good enough to make the team like Frost here. Frost took it like a man Kratsov like a whiny millenial. All Rags need to do is like Edmonton did with Puljujarvi. Free to find a trade that Rags wont accept.

The defense and Hart will have to be the strength this season, as it sure won’t be the goal scoring to carry them.

Losing one of those guys is manageable with York ready as an option. Both would definitely be a challenge. They can’t grind down Provorov with excessive minutes so willingly this season.

Lias Andersson was a 7th overall draft pick of the NYR and they traded him to LA for a second round pick.

When you have 8 guys over 30 expect more injuries...guys like Ellis...Brassard..Braun..etc arent playing a season injury free

I am sure they wont get a 1st rd pick but they dont have to accept anything less. If return isnt good enough they tell him sorry go to AHL OR KHL.The Puljujarvi rule

They could get one as well, we don’t know. The premise that Lias Andersen didn’t get them a first round pick is totally irrelevant

The Flyers injury bus is carrying a lot more of our prospects than you seem to think. It's why, in large measure, many of their prospects don't seem to work out. And since they haven't worked out, management needs to bring in more vets. These problems go hand in hand.
