the metro is consistant ....but not the hardest, Toronto might be a wildcard team in a very though Atlantic.

I’d have thought the death would have been a significant change in goaltending depth. Gone and already forgotten?

Columbus could win number one overall with the lotto but unless they trade their goalies to Arizona and buffalo those guys are too good to make that team worse in the land. Plus your new regular there in exactly prospects anymore so you have one step up on Buffalo. I would feel so much better about Buffalo if I had Alexandre texier and Emil bemstrom on my team along with those goalies. LOL I'll give you jack eichel for that Trio you can pick the goalie

Biggest reason why they won’t make the playoffs is Torts moving on. He made up for a lot of deficiencies. Also the division is absolutely ridiculous.

Also did you include the Atkinson trade as an example for the youth movement?

Did you really include the Atkinson trade as an example for the youth movement?

The real fear I have for the CBJ is that they are just good enough to finish 5th to 7th from the bottom and not get a great draft pick (Top 2 or 3 pick) that we desperately need. We have a bunch of good, solid, young 3-4 liners/d-men, not nearly enough offense in the top two lines and a green as grass defense. I mean, we are so bad Seattle took nothing from the CBJ roster in the expansion draft, what does that tell us?

If the goalies play well enough and the team plays above expectations it will likely get stuck in 'not good enough land' again, too good for a low draft choice, maybe good enough to get an 8 seed, and unable to sign the two or three top of the line players to make them a contender for the Cup.

Maybe sometime this year the record will be bad enough we can get more draft choices for young marginal players or older established veterans and luck into a few draft choices that become great, All-Star level players.

The CBJ might be better than Buffalo and Arizona, but I hope they aren't.
