My guess is Osipov dresses because they're playing the St Louis Hockey Team. |

I think you are mistaking that for a Cubs-Cardinals game.

I tell you those lawyers are very clever, we'll see if it sticks.
Looking forward to the game tonight hopefully i can stay awake for the entire contest. |

I hope they reduce the roster to 40 players (or fewer) after tonight’s game. Then drop another 10 (or more) after Monday’s game. |

Typical Blackhawks can’t even hold a four goal lead with six minutes left in the game! It’s all on Murphy!

You have T Johnson centering Kane and Dcat to start the season? I have a feeling that's how Colliton would like it to shake out. Having a competent/responsible vet with cups and having played with elite players at times throughout his career being a facilitator between two elite wingers.
You then have Dach at 3C? I think Colliton sees this as important as having TJ work in the middle of Kane-Dcat in that it will drastically lower the QoC he faces and the pressure that he'd be relieved of as a result. Kid is still 20 and only 82 regular season games to his credit .......Of course this is all predicated on Toews being healthy.
Big night vs a solid opponent, probably O'Rielly if he plays, to see how TJ works as the 1C and of course Reichel at 2RW with Johnny and Hagel.
First look at Jones in a system where he has scoring talent around him and away from a Tortarelli system. Maybe his fancies improve by playing defense with the puck 200 ft from his goalie?

I would like to see McLaughlin and Slavin. Barret and Altybarmaken too. Each could get a cup of coffee or longer this season. Skating is what I want to see, although with McLaughlin he is good..
B Morrison, who had a couple goals in the first games last season then went down with season ending injury, might be a surprise sort of forgotten about. He is in a numbers game and most likely won't get a training camp game.
It was a good idea to give Phillios a game. Let him experience and learn as this is good for his development. Ultimately he has to beat out Stillman for a job. Not sure either makes it long term in Chicago if their passing is poor.
I would love to see Mitchell replace Murphy. I think either Regula or Galvas eventually claim a job.
Steady development by Regula would be nice.....he has a great shot and can score goals. I am going to guess that Regula and Galvas both are here for sure next season. Beaudin might be dealt.
Long term both Kaiser and Vlasic have an opportunity to challenge others as we shape our most ideal blueline corps
I.am.just uncertain C Jones can be more than a third pair
Note to Theo: I haven't seen Soderlund Edmonton box scoresheet |

No it's the forwards fault for not making themselves available for the pass.

Didn't Tyler Johnson center a rather small line a few years ago in TB? I recall his line being quite pesky and damn good in the 2015 finals. |

The Triplets IIRC. Palat-Johnson-Kucherov. ...... And yea the Hawks beat em in the Finals and what I remember most is that it was revealed after the series that Johnson played it with a broken wrist. Been a fan ever since. Tough little dude.

Well I guess Palat is not the smallest forward but I don't see why a Dcat Johnson Kane line can't thrive. Dcat has become a responsible 2 way forward. He will probably see some PK time this year again.

Colton Dach signs an ELC, 870K AAV. The upcoming season will probably be a slide year since he most likely won't make the team and remain in the WHL. |

Why? What is the point in signing Dach now? Why not wait, does he really need to be signed now?

ADB really did a good job last season of showing more defensive responsibility and I agree with you about him killing penalties. With his scoring ability it will make other teams think twice about pinching in the Hawks’ zone, playing only one defenseman on the powerplay or making cross ice passes at the point.

I like the Dach Dcat PK pairing (minus faceoffs). Much prefer aggressive PKers too versus the passive box.
Is Johnson a PK guy still? It would be nice if this season Toews isn't first unit PK.

Khaira will definitely be one of the penalty killers. If Carpenter is in the line-up, I can see them being PK #2 |

Carpenter is not a good penalty killer, and yet sadly it’s probably the thing he does best. Waiver fodder IMO. |
