They did play well together and it shows holtz with a good playmaker will help him

I can't see them playing on the same line at the start of they both make it

Tatar Hughes sharangovic
Zacha Nico holtz
Kouk mercer Johnson
Wood McLeod Thompson

Who am I missing?

I think Holtz with defensive responsible Nico and zacha will help in the defensive end and Nico can create for holtz

I hate seeing guys intended for top six roles being played in the bottom six. Max you can do this is one slot, and the guy you single out would be Nolan Foote, since he's a year older than the other two. NJ shouldn't have two or three of Foote - Mercer- Holtz in their bottom six... it'll stagnate those players.

That’s not a bad lineup. We’ll see how they look in preseason.

Final call if anyone wants in on a 20 team full roster yahoo league. Draft will likely be the 26th or 3rd. Message me if you want in. I have 3-4 spots.

100%

Top six players should play top six minutes and situations. If not with the big club, in the minors.

I cant see Wood playing 4th line minutes. He needs to play up at least 3rd line minutes to be an effective contirbutor to this team.

If they were all a year older I wouldn’t think it too crazy for 1 or 2 of them to be on the 3rd line and maybe PP. it’s not like they’ll be getting 5 minutes there. Nothing wrong with getting 12 a game.
Unless they really impress I think we’d all rather they be top line in Utica. (So many minor league towns over the years I almost typed Albany).

No doubt. In reality, this isn't the year to make a push so I would rather see these young guys develop physically, get key minutes and experience and confidence.

We have seen time and time again what rushing young kids can do to ruin them. Make them hungry.

They showed up in one of two possible games against career AHL'ers or worse. Let's see any of them light it up in preseason against NHL caliber talent before we even dream of them making the big club. They've gotta stop rushing players that aren't ready. There is a reason Jack Hughe's rookie campaign was statistically one of the weakest of all first overall picks in the past 2+ decades. Stop rushing these kids.
