Is it really cancelled? I heard on the radio that it will happen but members of the media won't be allowed to be on site and interview the GM, coaches and players like they usually do...

Okay. It just wouldn't look good for the Team, Media, that's their job.

bah, he'll probably just say it was a questionable pick, finishing with some sort of "boys will be boys, let's hope he learned his lesson" conclusion. I don't see what he could say that could make the boat rock even more than it already has.

I wouldn't call this a trashing, disappointed maybe.

Which begs the question, wouldn't Molson be aware of his GM's pick ?

he did. I understand that you expect more from us and we let you down. He uses "we" throughout his letter, and so includes himself in the decision to make that pick.

If the Habs had a whole PR release and damage control ready before the pick, he had to know.

If he did not know, then he shoulda fired MB.

I think Molson knew, but it wasn't necessarily thought-out by everyone involved. their PR job gave the impression they weren't expecting such a strong reaction by the public and media, so the damage control was only a reactionary move, and not an anticipated one.

how stupid...that people would walk away from their jobs because they refuse to take a vaccine......just absolutely ridiculous.

One could argue it's principled. Whether the principle is wise is a different question.

I know I'd walk away from (and have in the past) situations that conflict with my principles

Fair enough but at this stage it’s kind of a social duty to get vaccinated. To me, an individual’s rights stop where others’ rights start. And right now, human being have the right to feel safe(r) and the vaccine can help with that, whatever the completists think of it...

That's pretty much what the legal standard is.

I'm not arguing in favour of the decision, just pointing out it is principled. Literally putting his money where his mouth is

It really was. Thursday was solid. Browns v Chiefs was a nail biter and last night in OT. NFL showing other leagues why they're JV pro sports. That said the Jays are playing so well it's getting close to the time I pretend to give a (frank) about baseball
