It’s a pleasure! Part of trying to “grow” this summer was forcing myself to write even when nothing was happening. It’s helped me a great deal in finding resources, digging through drafts, etc. its a blessing to share it with you!

this is the season some younger players should jump on and start making a impact now that yzerman got rid of kennys trash.

zadina, seider, nedeljkovic, veleno, raymond, etc.

Hoping they can light it up at the prospects tourney. Veleno should be very motivated to break through

I'm excited to see that we're getting more kids more ice-time. The growth process over the next couple of years, as well as the addition of some draft picks is going to be pretty impressive. GR may well be a power-house this season. I want to see the chip on Veleno's shoulder.... Interestingly (as has been addressed previously), Mo Sides seems to be on the plane v riding the bus. This kid....yeah. Is he a Top5 defender in the NHL? I don't think so. But never say never.... Raymond will start at GR, get a couple of cups of coffee, then will be on the plane next year, methinks. Ned will be strong, but the D-Line will need to step up their game, literally.

Given the kids in the pipeline, I'd think 3 years before the big club jells and becomes a viable SCPO contender. But the next couple of years is going to really be good!!!

I would've liked to have watched him try out. He's pretty solid, not an award-winner, but still a solid player. The Avs may be a bit more of a power-house than expected.....they did a decent job of loading up this off-season......

Yeah, that's a very valid assumption. Would think Berggren will be a bit of a beast as well. These 2 guys are really kind of lynch-pin players. They're on the cusp, have some serious potential, but have been mired in mediocrity. That may be because of playing off of their position, or they need to change position, you've covered that at length. Once they get set, throw in Raymond...The Wings roll 2 STRONG lines that teams will now have to account for. Heck some of these guys (Rowney, Stephens, and Ras) have a legit chip and want to prove their worth. These guys are younger, stronger, bigger attitude, and have something to prove. That's a really good combination for success.

Not saying these guys will deliver Lord Stanley's Cup, guys so don't shoot me in the foot. But I am saying that, if you look at the character of these kids, you'll see some really good dudes. Some attitude. Want to learn & grow, under the tutelage of guys like Leddy & Gagner. Say what you want about Sam, but his ability to see the ice in at the very top of the NHL hierarchy (not the best, but damn sure close). He knows what his line-mates do, he knows their moves, he anticipates so very well. He'll mentor these youngsters and help them see the ice. Wish we had Glennie to work on the FOW, but Tanguay can help (he was ok at the dot, but brings a different perspective offensively overall).

All-in-all, the Trouney will be exciting. Will definitely look for links to watch. My uncle lives in TC and has tickets, so we'll be talking a LOT!!!
