I think we should not count the Flames out of the Eichel sweepstakes.... they can offer a very competitive package that Buffalo will need to consider.

If they're looking to add Eichel or Zbanejad, why would they have made the Dadvonov trade? Doesn't make sense.

Reality is, they need both guys. If they’re looking for that elite 1-2 punch down the middle that has made franchises (like Pit, TB and Tor) big time year-to-year favorites to contend... Seems like shipping out Zib for Eichel is a bit of a lateral move.

I agree with this. Eichel makes more of difference with one of those two players on the roster. Adding eichel doesn’t do much if you trade BOTH of those players
