It's almost like RW longs for the days of the 4th line being Tanner Glass, Craig Adams and Taylor Pyatt

I am in a twitter debate with people that are saying that they didn’t get out of the first round with McCann and Tanev so who cares that they left and are being replaced (so far) with Simon and McGinn. I have no idea how to debate stupid.

Remember when the Pens had a HOF'er GM that built 2 back to back cup runs?

You mean the one who pissed away assets to trade away bad players that he acquired because he let Tom Wilson live in his head rent free after lucking their way to cup 2? Yeah I remember that.

And all Hextall has done is brought in Carter. He's let 3 roster players leave and brought in MCginn. Unless he can swing a deal this team blows.

Does anyone think Ceci's contract is good @ 4 x $3.25 mil per?

Could I interest you in a Dillon Dube? Kid has legit skills and should come in on a cheap contract. Calgary needs a RW.

Unpopular opinion: There will be no playoffs this year.

Pens fed on the weaker teams in an unbalanced division. Once they get an even spread of talent to play against, they’ll be the 10th best team in the east. Offense is getting slow and defense and goaltending looks shakier than last year

Hextall and Burke have only been here since February. Why does the team blow? Because of the shambles JR left it in!

I think there was a missed opportunity to resign him mid season to an affordable deal

And Malkin is broken again so a 36 yr old Carter will have to carry a huge load during the season. But Im sure when Machino gets back he can take over games flanked by Simon and EROD.

Yup, definitely difficult to deal with what little assets that HOF GM 3 years removed from a Stanley Cupleft him.

JR was the perfect GM in 2015 for an underachieving team. Needed to make bold moves and he did. Unfortunately, he was also the perfect GM (See Carolina) to put them in the situation they are now!

I was being as hopeful as possible that Hextall is just being patient and preparing a very calculated plan.... and we get......Brock McGinn....for 4 years.....

I could maybe see a slight overpay for Nick Ritchie or something given their M.O.... but BROCK MCGINN??

Oh I agree and appreciate it. I’m not mad at all. I’m cool with where the Pens are and I don’t get my hopes up that they’re going to be contenders anymore because they just aren’t.

Keep the team competitive, let the superstars retire here if they want, and get ready for dark days before they draft another generational talent.

I’m not mad or upset at anything haha

I think the Pens going into free agency today had the 3rd or 4th lowest amount of cap space. Unless they could get someone to take Pettersson or Zucker's contract, their hands were pretty tied.

Really can't live with $2.75 million for 4 years?
