According to reading tea leaves on Russo's feed, the idea is that they can pay Goglioski 5 million this next year (when they have the cap space) but after that he signs multiple years at around 2 million avg when the cap recapture hits.

I mean... add in the Suter buyout, and you actively got worse on defense, didn't get younger, and didn't save any cap space.

The Wild got younger Goligoski is 6 months younger than Suter.

And good lawd people, free agency has actually only been open for 5 hours. Give it a little time. There are players out there that will come slightly cheaper than what they are expecting to get, as everyone is very cap conscience this year.

I still think either Fiala or Greenway is going to be used in a trade. And the C that I am thinking Guerin is actually targeting is Christian Dvorak.

I AM disappointed that we aren't going to be seeing the Foligno brothers skating together.

still don't understand the Suter buyout. Losing Suter and Soucy and replacing them with Goligoski and Kulikov is a massive downgrade

There has been organizational conflict involving Suter going back to the days of Mike Yeo. Buying out Suter was about what was going on in the room more than Suter’s declining skills.
