Schwartz to Colorado if Grubauer went to Seattle was merely a developing story. Doesn't mean it was final. One story that is clear is that Sakic was super smart to wait for all the other teams to sign goalies so Grubauer had nowhere else to go. Brilliant!

Resigning Landeskog meant they had to cheap out the goalie position for next few years.

good player when playing but be ready for long stretches of streaky goal scoring and IR bouts probably an overpay but Schwartzy is a hard worker be a good fit for the kraken!

Landeskog only took a 1.4(ish) million dollar raise compared to his last deal. Whether people like his deal or not -- especially the term --- I'm pretty sure that the REAL influences that made Sakic draw a firm line re: what $$ he would commit to re-signing Grubauer had more to do with the 8.1 million dollar raise they just gave Makar and the 12 million in salary they look forward to probably committing to MacKinnon in 2 years.
