I never doubted for a moment. |

It's about all he's worth, so I don't see a reason for him to go anywhere else
If he thought he was worth 9 per anywhere else he was dreaming |

How can the source be Eklund when Elliott Friedman tweeted it out at 11:36 PM and Eklund posts it at 11:39? Wouldn't that make Friedman the source? |

His sources are the GMs. That's why it's now an E5 |

Per that clockwork, Elliotte Friedman most definitely would be the source.
Friedman also was the one who at around 4:40pm ET on Tuesday had notified the NHL world at that time, that the Avalanche had an offer "on the table" of $7M per year for 7 years; which per those 3 quoted words, sort of inferred him to either "take it or leave it."
It appears Landy's agent made one final late negotiating plea of some kind, whether it was regarding that money, that term, or both; which resulted in Landeskog receiving the one additional term year at the same $7M for a $56M in total contract. |

I wonder what Lou is going to do now that Landeskog isn't available? I said all along he would just sign Palmeiri and let other GMs spend top dollar on Jones, Landeskog, etc... |

Not me. I actually think most of this was just a charade for the expansion draft. A handshake deal and Landeskog/Sakic made it look more acrimonious than it really was. Grubauer signs tomorrow. But sources had all kinds of teams in on Landeskog. Oops. |

No other team was allowed To talk to Gabe. This notion other teams were in on Gabe were ridiculous! Of course team would be interested in him if he hit free agency but up to that point no other team had a chance |
