Was it really their 3rd line? Seemed more like a 2nd. Excellent line nonetheless.

It always seemed to be listed as the third line whenever anyone was listing lineups, but I got into the habit of putting "third" in quotes for exactly the reason you mention. It was, for all intents and purposes, the second line.

Now every other team will try to recreate such a line. However I won't miss it when Detroit plays the Bolts!

FL Panthers had their number this year in regular
Season.
If not for LTIR shenanigans likely not have made it past 1st round.

If not for X, Y, or Z they wouldn't have made it past Round A, B, or C.

A magnificent line, but I shall not mourn them.

I like Coleman at 2M. At 4M I like him a lot less

Please let this mean we get to keep Palat.

Johnson and a 2nd for Seabrook. Seabrook goes directly to Robidas Island.

Sweet sweet cap space. Johnson's contract wasn't good in the long run, but he was a great Bolt. Lots of good memories of Johnson and the Triplets. I will miss his Johnny B. Goode goal song blasting in the building.

So, I haven't looked at the new cap numbers yet, but where does this put the Lightning? Gourde and Johnson gone is about $10m combined.

You’ll need to move one more player at least. Killorn I should think.

I haven't looked at the cap breakdown yet, but I think this would give them enough room to fill out the roster holes with league minimum plugs. Backup goalie could be a random hobo from the bus station because he won't see much action.

But yeah, Bowman just gifted us a bandaid for the immediate cap pain, but with Point and Sergachev needing new contracts over the next couple of seasons, the Lightning might not be done making moves. If I had to keep one of Palat and Killorn, it would be Palat.

Does this mean we see Zajac come in on a Spezza-like contract for a chance to win a Cup?
