Id love to pry Turcotte out of LA.
They want a top 6 winger, Buch and a defense man, Miller
We get Turcotte and their first and second rounder.

I just don’t think there’s a chance in hell all of these teams would pass on Wallstedt |

Goalies drafted top 10 don’t have a great track record. Fleury and Price are the exception at 1st and 5th overall. |

IF we got Stanley I would consider trading Miller for a center. And that’s only IF we got Stanley. |

Agreed. I couldnt believe he was available at 12 & if that were the case, there would have been teams clamoring to trade for our pick. I like this pick, but having the Wall & Wolf in our pipeline would have been huge for a position we have struggled with since Kipper retired. Oh well. Still a good pick.

You’re probably right
I thought SJ would take one, EDM definitely should heavily consider it |

I agree. However I didn't see a fit at all with Calgary. They have Dustin Wolf who has just burned up the WHL and is Calgary's next one if his trajectory continues. I also didn't want to that to Jesper...the Flames have a horrible record at killing goalie careers. Jesper deserves a shot.

Personally I would like to see Lucius in a flames jersey but if he’s gone while lysell is probably the right pick I wouldn’t say it’s a slam dunk we take him. For better or worse sutter is here and I’m pretty sure he was given a say in personnel moves including the draft. So with that said while he could surprise the hell out of us I don’t think a small, speedy, Swede fits what sutter wants in a player. |

Not bad. But what does NYR get out of this? Don't you guys need a center NOW? |

Figures the Flyers end up missing out on the 2nd tier players...
1) They could pick Wallstedt and build their goaltending prospect pool as the best in the NHL and use one or two of them as trade chips.
or
2) Trade the pick either for help now or trade down for additional assets.
Flyer picks always seem to be outside the decent bubble. |

Both teams are on an upward swing with young talent, not saying it's a bad deal but no thanks I'd rather keep what we have.hoping with 8th pick this yr we can get that LD we need to continue growing our core. |

Well it’s already been 8 years so maybe another 2 to round out a full decade. |

I really don’t think people realize how bad they’ve been because they haven’t picked higher than 4th. |
