No way Leo is on the block after being a 1LW in the playoffs. That's fantasy hockey.

I'd love to see Eberle traded but it's more likely it's Leddy being moved or lost in the draft.

Who do you want to trade for Eberle and who can fill Leddy’s role as a top 4 puck moving LD?

If Eberle's really being shopped, maybe it's because they figure it's an either/or situation with Eberle and Palmieri? I think Eberle's a slightly more dangerous goal scorer when he's hot, but Palmieri offers more than Eberle apart from scoring...a better, grittier game along the boards; and a bit better defense.

Have to be only picks for Eberle. Just getting his salary off the team and opening a spot of Wally is a huge plus. If Isles could get Suter for a year that would be a nice replacement. Alex Goligoski could be another option?

I'm picking Palms over Eberle and would like Palms to return if the money works. He definitely seems to be more of a Lou and Barry player.

I don’t think Wahly slots in at top line RW based on Trotz prior player placements (3RW more likely) and Suter ain’t Leddy imo. I think your undervaluing both players but I guess time will tell.

Good point about Wally. Hopefully he stays in the lineup every game and works his way to 1RW. I've never been a fan of Eberle and he goes cold at the worst times. Leddy also can be very frustrating.

I can see the Islanders trading Leddy for a pick, not cause Lou wants to trade him, but because it’s better to get a pick then lose the guy for free in the expansion draft.

Now that Minny are actually buying out both Parise and Suter, what are anybody's thoughts on Lou trying to sign both of them for 2 X 1.5 if he can move Leddy and Eberle and Uncle Leo?

You don't know what you're getting into asking this question.

Ha ha , like it or not, that really sounds like a viable plan that may be in motion! Bunkmates Parise and Suter have stated they hope to sign together again, and Lou almost got Zach the other year! What a summer this is gonna be!

Not really concerned, MINN was a bad team until they arrived and there ego's took over, if team had more/better vets in locker room could be diff story

I don't see any down time at all this summer. It's going to be a very short offseason. We are already 2 months from camp starting. Going to be an insane offseason. Buckle up

That call with Guerin wasn’t as lengthy … or as friendly.

Suter, never, ever envisioning that the Wild would actually buy out both contracts at the same time, hung up on the GM.

Lou and Barry do have plenty experience working with vets so there is that and Lou does know Parise very well.

Leddy will be traded and Eberle will be exposed in draft... that is what I think is going to happen. I don't see Leo going anywhere.. and I can't imagine they will get anything for Hickey so don't see that happening.

They could buy Hickey out to save a little over $1.66M next year, but it'd cost them $833k against the cap the following year. Buying out Hickey actually saves more against the cap than buying out Leo does (also takes up more cap space the following year though, by about 200k)

Suter would never pull that with Lou.

Just read seattle will offer Adam Larsson a contract. Edmonton doesnt have the cap space to sign Larsson.

I'm sorry it's funny to me to hear Leo is on the block when he was 1LW during the playoffs including game 7 against Tampa. I'm thinking Leo brings back a #1 with all that showcasing.
