I want to take a D man only if we trade Manson for offensive F who helps this yr.
Looks to me there could be deals made along those lines. Josh only has 1 more yr @ 4.1 - that will be attractive to teams. I think Fla makes a good trade partner.

Then one of those D makes sense.

As intriguing as Brandt Clarke is, despite some scout saying his skating isn't the best, I'm not sure he works best for Anaheim. I was listening to someone on Hockey Prospects on the NHL channel on Sirius XM and he was saying you can't have too many of the same type of player, especially on the defensive end. He said that's why Colorado had such a hard time with Vegas. Without Eric Johnson, the Av's had a bunch of less than 200 lb. skaters who were vulnerable to the forecheck. They didn't have a defenseman who could take a hit and make a play. What he said makes sense to me so I think the Ducks would be better off taking Simon Edvinsson. Edvinsson is not Jaime Drysdale part 2 and, he's Swedish! He and Hampus will get along great.

Edvinsson is intriguing and would be my choice if we don’t take a F.

This is why Sens took Sanderson at 5th last year.
