I said it before and I will say it again. Back in the 80's I remember a fan with a sign that said "The Island is sinking" Very appropriate for the occasion. The Isles will never win another CUP again and that is very satisfying.

Wow. What a moron. Two straight trips to the conference finals and literally a 1 goal game in game 7 on the road basically for the Stanley Cup would suggest that you’re a complete fool

Which is doubly impressive when you remember that he stores them in his poop chute.

Lou's got some work to do. Leo, Ladd, Leddy, Eberle? Trade Varly and give the reigns to SoroKING? In Lou We Trust!

I actually like Fox b/c he is from Long Island ... (I like Charlie too b/c I am from Long Beach). That said.. if you told GM's in the NHL they could have any D-man on any team it would be a long time before anyone said his name. I'm not sure if you asked them to rank D-men he would be in the top 20. He isn't even the best D-man named Adam in NY.

Lou should just do what Tampa did & will probably do next season. Just go way over the cap & see what Bettman does about it.

So Arvidsson went for a 2nd and a 3rd. Would that then be the expected return for Eberle?

I can't see this team trading Eberle. If he gets taken in expansion draft that is one thing.. but trading him wouldn't go over well in the room.

Had no idea how good Pelech was till after the series with Boston. Unfortunately he actually plays D so he’ll never get the credit he deserves. Call me bias but my dream pair would be Pelech-Mcavoy. They can both do it all

Trades are a part of the business. Would be nice to get a couple of picks for Eberle. If the team falls apart if Eberle gets traded they have huge problems.

I dunno. There are a lot of guys Lou wants to keep and only so much cap space. I think "the room" is smart enough to understand that. They didn't overreact last year when Lou was forced to trade Toews.

This is the best they'll ever do with this core. They are missing the elite talent to get to the next level.
