We will need a stop-gap LD solution as we can not expect any of our current LD to be a #1 of even a #2 pairing guy right now. All we have are guys that should be 3rd pairing options.
So look to FA options, or trade for a guy that their team can not protect or are Cap casualties. These options will likely be short term guys to allow our prospects to mature.

Yep, I covered that a bit. Yzerman is bringing in 2 FA left side D (or is at least looking to). If McIsaac wants a job, he’s got to grab it and out play whoever is there. Otherwise probably looking at GR

He should be in GR, should not hurry him as they did Cholo. But they had no options then, as they should have plenty of options appear this summer!

I’m all for a meritocracy. If he can outplay the guys in the top 4, give him the spot. As long as he’s not getting below 18 mins it’s worth it. Otherwise he needs top mins in GR

Shoulder Injuries are as bad as head Injuries when It comes to shortening careers. Tarasenko could be out of hockey by the time he's 31 years old.

Bobby Orr’s knee cut him down way too soon. I can’t believe how long Yzerman played on one leg. When the joints start to go the surgeries can be worse than the damage. I wonder if JM had bone Spurs or something. I had one rip through a tendon a bit. Good Lord that hurts. You’re right though. Once the injury bug bites certain things it’s a swift decline

Pointless mildly interesting observation I had one time.

Chris Chelios played until he was 48. If Bobby Orr had played until he was 48 he would have retired in 1996.

Whoa. Could you imagine him in the 80s if he felt good? Nice drop in
