Karine Hains: Gambling not a Good Idea in Vegas The winning streak is over, and the Canadiens learnt a couple of things tonight; taking penalties is playing with fire and you have to shoot to score (they should have known these already though).

With all due respect K I don’t think the penalties cost them anything but momentum.

Price missed few he didn’t see.

It won’t be a short series.

yup, all those penalties took away any momentum they had... that 3rd vegas goal especially hurt, right after the habs finally had gotten on the scoreboard with Caufield's goal

those icing calls leading to two of the four goals were brutal for the Habs, they need to keep the puck in the neutral zone as much as possible if they want to avoid the sweep. They are just giving LA free time in their zone and their D is more than talented to cycle the puck around our D and create scoring chances.

jeez, hold the phone there sports, avoid the sweep. It’s one game.

Yes Vegas won 4-1 but they’d do well to remember that the Avs won game 1 of their last series 7-1. This is hockey, things can change quickly

Petry is clearly missed.

Romanov cannot come out (Gustafson sure can, though).

Price fantastic once again.

Habs can’t afford to play from behind.

CORRECTION: SHea Weber didn't injure his thumb...he was brutally slashed by Reeves. Vegas had a few of those kind of hits last night....

There were some good and some bad in that game. Habs need Petry, Gus isn't physical nor fast enough to be able to handle himself against a team like Vegas. We'll see the changes they make on Wednesday and hope they make a difference.

Habs need a 3rd defensive pair that can actually play minutes and isn't a liability.

I like Anderson's game, but you have to up points on the board eventually. Doesn't seem to be the same player since that DeMelo slewfoot a few weeks ago.

The Defense recorded ZERO shots on net, that needs to change

I feel like a change in the forward lines is coming.

Anderson and KK aren't clicking imo, and the fact Andesron looks like a lost child in the defensive zone isn't helping.

I could also see the return of the Tuna.

Kulak must have 10 shots in the opposing forward's pads yesterday.

Habs need to learn how not to shoot on the guy in front of them.

At least he'll shoot in their face instead of their shinpads...
